13. (a) How was the identification of the Esther class brought about; how has this added to the exposure of the Haman class? (b) What is pictured by Haman’s being hanged on the stake prepared for Mordecai?
13 Esther’s exposing of Haman as the archenemy necessitated her revealing her own identity. When did those of the Esther class in modern times identify themselves according to the historical record? The best evidence is the identification that took place Sunday, July 26, 1931, at an assembly of Jehovah’s people in Columbus, Ohio. On that occasion they adopted a resolution by which they identified themselves, embracing the name “Jehovah’s witnesses.” (Isa. 43:10, 12) A booklet containing this resolution was published and given a wide circulation. This identification also worked for the exposé of the clergy class.
