Amanye akhethwa nguMosi ekhokhelwa nguJehova njalo ngokuhamba kwesikhathi uJoshuwa laye wakhetha amanye. Umuntu owayebaleka wayefika ethule udaba lwakhe ebadaleni ababesegedini ledolobho futhi babemamukela kuhle. Kodwa kwakumele abuyele ayethonisiswa edolobheni ayebulele kulo umuntu ukuze kukhanye ukuthi kalacala. Lokhu kwakuzanceda ukuthi emadolobheni okuphephela kungagcinwa abantu ababulele abanye ngabomo. Nxa kungatholakala ukuthi umuntu obulele omunye kakwenzanga ngabomo, wayebuyiselwa edolobheni lokuphephela. Ukuthwasa kwenyanga.

Ibala lesiGrikhi elihunyutshwa ngokuthi ukuvuswa kwabafileyo ngelithi a·naʹsta·sis, okutsho “ukuphakamisa” kumbe “ukusukuma.” EBhayibhilini kukhulunywa ngabantu abangu-9 abavuswa kwabafileyo, okugoqela lokuvuswa kukaJesu nguJehova uNkulunkulu. Lanxa abanye bavuswa ngu-Elija, lo-Elisha, loJesu, loPhetro kanye loPhawuli, iBhayibhili lenza kucace ukuthi izimangaliso lezi zenziwa ngamandla kaNkulunkulu. Ukuvuswa ‘kwabalungileyo labangalunganga’ abazahlala emhlabeni kuqakathekile ukuze lokho uNkulunkulu akuhlosileyo kwenzakale.
