10 In that day the root of Jesʹse+ will stand up as a signal* for the peoples.+

 2 He will come up like a twig+ before him,* like a root out of parched land.

5 “Look! The days are coming,” declares Jehovah, “when I will raise up to David a righteous sprout.*+ And a king will reign+ and show insight and uphold justice and righteousness in the land.+

15 In those days and at that time I will cause to sprout for David a righteous sprout,*+ and he will execute justice and righteousness in the land.+

5 But one of the elders said to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah,+ the root+ of David,+ has conquered+ so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
