24 And Jehovah proceeded to appear to him during that night and to say: “I am the God of Abraham your father.+ Do not be afraid,+ because I am with you, and I will bless you and multiply your seed on account of Abraham my servant.”+

26 But concerning the dead, that they are raised up, did YOU not read in the book of Moses, in the account about the thornbush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob’?+

32 ‘I am the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob.’+ Seized with trembling, Moses did not dare to investigate further.
