9 And you well know that Jehovah your God is the [true] God,+ the faithful God,*+ keeping covenant+ and loving-kindness* in the case of those who love him and those who keep his commandments to a thousand generations,+

18 in order that, through two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie,+ we who have fled to the refuge may have strong encouragement to lay hold on the hope+ set before us.
