13 Every man born in your house and every man purchased with money of yours must without fail get circumcised;+ and my covenant in the flesh of YOU men must serve as a covenant to time indefinite.+

2 At that particular time Jehovah said to Joshua: “Make for yourself flint knives* and circumcise+ the sons of Israel again, the second time.”

29 But he is a Jew who is one on the inside,+ and [his] circumcision is that of the heart+ by spirit, and not by a written code.+ The praise+ of that one comes, not from men, but from God.+
