14 And they kept making their life bitter with hard slavery at clay mortar+ and bricks* and with every form of slavery in the field,+ yes, every form of slavery of theirs in which they used them as slaves under tyranny.+

5 And the Egyptians will certainly know that I am Jehovah when I stretch out my hand against Egypt,+ and I shall indeed bring the sons of Israel out from their midst.”+

16 But, in fact, for this cause I have kept you in existence,*+ for the sake of showing you my power and in order to have my name declared in all the earth.*+

17 For the Scripture says to Pharʹaoh: “For this very cause I have let you remain,* that in connection with you I may show my power, and that my name may be declared in all the earth.”+
