12 “Six days you are to do your work;+ but on the seventh day you are to desist,* in order that your bull and your ass may rest and the son of your slave girl and the alien resident may refresh themselves.+

13 you are to render service* and you must do all your work six days.+

14 But in response the presiding officer of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus did the cure on the sabbath, began to say to the crowd: “There are six days on which work ought to be done;+ on them, therefore, come and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.”+
