3 “‘And if his offering is a communion sacrifice,*+ if he is presenting it from the herd, whether a male or a female, a sound one+ is what he will present before Jehovah.

5 “‘Now in case YOU should sacrifice a communion sacrifice to Jehovah,+ YOU should sacrifice it to gain approval for yourselves.

26 At that all the sons of Israel,+ even all the people, went on up and came to Bethʹel* and wept+ and sat there before Jehovah and fasted+ on that day until the evening and offered up burnt offerings+ and communion offerings+ before Jehovah.

25 And David proceeded to build there an altar+ to Jehovah and offer up burnt sacrifices and communion sacrifices, and Jehovah began letting himself be entreated+ for the land, so that the scourge was halted from upon Israel.
