12 And Timʹna+ became the concubine of Elʹi·phaz, Eʹsau’s son. In time she bore to Elʹi·phaz Amʹa·lek.+ These are the sons of Aʹdah, Eʹsau’s wife.

8 And the A·malʹek·ites*+ proceeded to come and fight against Israel in Rephʹi·dim.+

14 Jehovah now said to Moses: “Write this as a memorial in the book+ and propound it in Joshua’s ears, ‘I shall completely wipe out the remembrance of Amʹa·lek from under the heavens.’”+

29 The A·malʹek·ites+ are dwelling in the land of the Negʹeb,+ and the Hitʹtites and the Jebʹu·sites+ and the Amʹor·ites+ are dwelling in the mountainous region, and the Caʹnaan·ites+ are dwelling by the sea and by the side of the Jordan.”

2 This is what Jehovah of armies+ has said, ‘I must call to account+ what Amʹa·lek did to Israel when he set himself against him in the way while he was coming up out of Egypt.+

43 And they proceeded to strike down the remnant that had escaped of Amʹa·lek,+ and they continued to dwell there down to this day.
