27 “‘And as for a man or woman in whom there proves to be a mediumistic spirit or spirit of prediction,+ they should be put to death without fail.+ They should pelt them to death with stones. Their own blood is upon them.’”+

3 When I got to see that you were no savior, then I determined to put my soul* in my own palm+ and go over against the sons of Amʹmon.+ At that Jehovah gave them into my hand. So why have YOU come up against me this day to fight against me?”

5 And he proceeded to put his soul in his palm+ and strike the Phi·lisʹtine down,+ so that Jehovah performed a great salvation*+ for all Israel. You saw it, and you gave way to rejoicing. So why should you sin against innocent blood in having David put to death+ for nothing?”+
