13 Jehovah your God you should fear,+ and him you should serve,*+ and by his name you should swear.+

12 And now, please, swear to me by Jehovah+ that, because I have exercised loving-kindness* toward YOU, YOU also will certainly exercise loving-kindness toward the household of my father,+ and YOU must give me a trustworthy sign.+

15 And Joshua went making peace with them+ and concluding a covenant with them to let them live, and so the chieftains+ of the assembly swore to them.+
