28 Consequently the king took counsel+ and made two golden calves+ and said to the people:* “It is too much for YOU to go up to Jerusalem. Here is your God,*+ O Israel, that brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”+
33 And Aʹhab went on to make the sacred pole;*+ and Aʹhab came to do more to offend+ Jehovah the God of Israel than all the kings of Israel that happened to be prior to him.
26 And he went acting very detestably by going after the dungy idols,+ the same as all that the Amʹor·ites had done, whom Jehovah drove out from before the sons of Israel.’”+
18 And he went walking in the way of the kings of Israel,+ just as those of the house of Aʹhab had done;+ for it was Aʹhab’s daughter that became his wife,+ and he kept doing what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes.
