8 And they went on to say: “Which one out of the tribes of Israel is it that has not come up to Jehovah at Mizʹpah?”+ And, look! no one had come into the camp from Jaʹbesh-gilʹe·ad+ to the congregation.
11And Naʹhash the Amʹmon·ite+ proceeded to go up and camp against Jaʹbesh+ in Gilʹe·ad.* At that all the men of Jaʹbesh said to Naʹhash: “Conclude a covenant with us that we may serve you.”+
12 Immediately all the valiant men rose up and went all night long and took the corpse of Saul and the corpses of his sons off the wall of Beth-shan and came* to Jaʹbesh and burned them there.+
