9 and he that invited you and him will come and say to you, ‘Let this man have the place.’ And then you will start off with shame to occupy the lowest place.+

14 I tell YOU, This man went down to his home proved more righteous+ than that man; because everyone that exalts himself will be humiliated, but he that humbles himself will be exalted.”+

5 In like manner, YOU younger men, be in subjection+ to the older men. But all of YOU gird yourselves with lowliness of mind toward one another,+ because God opposes the haughty ones, but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.+
