2 But he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel,+ and even molten+ statues he made of the Baʹals.+

7 Furthermore, he put the carved image+ that he had made in the house of the [true] God,+ respecting which God had said to David and to Solʹo·mon his son: “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen+ out of all the tribes of Israel, I shall put my name+ to time indefinite.+

28 “But where are your gods* that you have made for yourself?+ Let them rise up if they can save you in the time of your calamity.+ For as the number of your cities your gods have become, O Judah.+
