3 For I shall pour out water upon the thirsty one,+ and trickling streams upon the dry place.+ I shall pour out my spirit upon your seed,*+ and my blessing upon your descendants.

28 “And after that it must occur that I shall pour out my spirit*+ on every sort of flesh,+ and YOUR sons and YOUR daughters+ will certainly prophesy. As for YOUR old men, dreams they will dream. As for YOUR young men, visions they will see.

16 John gave the answer, saying to all: “I, for my part, baptize YOU with water; but the one stronger than I am is coming, the lace of whose sandals I am not fit to untie.+ He will baptize YOU people with holy spirit and fire.+

4 and they all became filled with holy spirit+ and started to speak with different tongues,+ just as the spirit was granting them to make utterance.

16 At this I called to mind the saying of the Lord, how he used to say, ‘John, for his part, baptized with water,+ but YOU will be baptized in holy spirit.’+

13 For truly by one spirit we were all baptized+ into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink+ one spirit.
