4 And I myself have seen all the hard work and all the proficiency in work,+ that it means the rivalry of one* toward another;+ this also is vanity and a striving after the wind.
7 For who makes you to differ+ from another? Indeed, what do you have that you did not receive?+ If, now, you did indeed receive [it],+ why do you boast+ as though you did not receive [it]?
4 But let each one* prove what his own work is,+ and then he will have cause for exultation in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison+ with the other person.
