17 At the king’s order, they quarried large stones, expensive stones,+ to lay the foundation+ of the house with hewn stones.+

7 The house was built with quarry stone that had already been prepared,+ so that no hammers or axes or any iron tools were heard in the house while it was being built.

9 All of these were made of expensive stones+ hewn according to measure, trimmed with stonesaws inside and out, from the foundation up to the coping, and outside as far as the great courtyard.+
