11 “Phinʹe·has+ the son of El·e·aʹzar the son of Aaron the priest has turned my wrath away from the people of Israel because he tolerated no rivalry at all toward me among them.+ So I have not exterminated the Israelites in my insistence on exclusive devotion.+

13 And it will serve as the covenant of a lasting priesthood for him and his offspring after him,+ because he tolerated no rivalry toward his God+ and he made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

30 When Phinʹe·has the priest, the chieftains of the assembly, and the heads of the thousands* of Israel who were with him heard the words that the descendants of Reuʹben, Gad, and Ma·nasʹseh spoke, they were satisfied.+

28 Now Phinʹe·has+ the son of El·e·aʹzar, the son of Aaron, was ministering* before it in those days. They asked: “Should we go out yet again to battle against our brothers, the men of Benjamin, or should we stop?”+ Jehovah replied: “Go up, because tomorrow I will give them into your hand.”
