GESHURITES
(Geshʹur·ites) [Of (Belonging to) Geshur].
1. The inhabitants of Geshur, a territory E of the Jordan.—De 3:14; Jos 12:4, 5; 13:11, 13.
2. A people of southern Palestine residing in the vicinity of Philistine territory. (Jos 13:2) While outlawed by King Saul, David made raids on the Geshurites and other peoples dwelling in that general area.—1Sa 27:7-11.
