◆ Still under ban, Malawi had two publisher peaks for first two months of service year, with 19,223 in October.

◆ Two typhoons hit Philippines. Some Kingdom Halls blown down. Brothers supplied relief for publishers who lost homes. Society has sent additional funds.

◆ Some brothers in Cuba had all personal literature confiscated; others put under house arrest. Yet brothers averaged 15.3 hours and reached new publisher peak.

◆ Fijian district assembly attended by 867. Brothers built all facilities.

◆ Hong Kong more than doubles magazine placements over last October​—and subscriptions rise from 208 to 934.

◆ In October 30,294 subscriptions obtained in Japan. Previous peak was 19,131. Also peaks in publishers, hours, magazines.

◆ Earthquake hit New Guinea. Injuries among brothers minor, but about 100 lost homes. Brothers in Port Moresby, Papua, sent relief funds; rebuilding under way.

◆ France among many lands reporting new publisher peaks, reaching 37,123​—up 14 percent. Publishers averaged 12.1 hours.
