EXPERIENCE

Jehovah Rewards Faith

Emma worked at a hotel three days a week, nine hours a day. She asked her supervisor for a day off so that she could attend her regional convention. Instead of granting her request, the supervisor changed her schedule to five days a week and gave her an ultimatum: Accept the new schedule or resign. Trusting in Jehovah, Emma chose to resign and attend the convention.

When Emma went to submit her resignation, the general manager of the hotel happened to be there. When he learned about the situation, he promised to take care of the matter. However, two weeks later, Emma was told that she was fired. She came across the general manager again, who was upset that his instructions were ignored. He resolved the issue, and Emma was offered a new schedule: five days a week, four hours a day. It turned out to be even better than her original schedule; it accommodated her theocratic activities! Jehovah took care of her needs in a way that exceeded her expectations.
