    • 14 Καὶ And ἤκουσεν heard ὁ the βασιλεὺς king Ἡρῴδης, Herod, φανερὸν manifest γὰρ for ἐγένετο became τὸ the ὄνομα name αὐτοῦ, of him, καὶ and ἔλεγον they were saying ὅτι that Ἰωάνης John ὁ the (one) βαπτίζων baptizing ἐγήγερται has been raised up ἐκ out of νεκρῶν, dead (ones), καὶ and διὰ through τοῦτο this ἐνεργοῦσιν are working in αἱ the δυνάμεις powerful works ἐν in αὐτῷ· him;
