them sleeping. He said to Peter: “Could you men not so much as watch one hour with me? Keep on the watch and pray continually, that you may not enter into temptation.”​—Matt. 26:39-41.

True, it was probably past midnight and the disciples were naturally sleepy, but Jesus, knowing full well that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, had told them to watch and pray! (Matt. 26:41)
