As Dr. Leonard Eron of the University of Illinois also argues: “Continued viewing of violence on television has a lasting effect on behaviour—and it is not a trivial effect.” Yet, what youngsters can see on Saturday morning TV has been totaled at 30 violent acts an hour! The conclusion drawn by a summary of more than 2,500 studies done in the past ten years: “Violence on television does lead to aggressive behavior.”
