John says that they are not “burdensome” to us “because everything that has been born from God conquers the world.” “Everything” may denote God-given power to ‘conquer the world,’ or triumph over unrighteous human society with its temptations to break Jehovah’s commandments. (John 16:33) “The conquest that has conquered the world” is “our faith” in God, his Word, and his Son.
