Today, the meetings we have prior to going out in the ministry serve a similar purpose​—to encourage, equip, and organize us.

Having brief meetings for field service will enable all to spend more time in the ministry.

The objective of the Theocratic Ministry School is to prepare us to teach our faith to others.

Theocratic Ministry School Schedule for 2008

During 2008 the following will be the arrangements for conducting the Theocratic Ministry School.

Last April, particularly, we reached out to show our appreciation for Jehovah’s provisions for salvation by expending ourselves in the Christian ministry.

Approach one of the members of the Congregation Service Committee, and see whether your child is qualified to be counted as a publisher this April. (See the Our Ministry book, pages 99-100.)

Serving as auxiliary pioneers enables congregation publishers to improve their effectiveness as they put forth extra time in the Kingdom ministry.​—Col. 4:17; 2 Tim. 4:5.

Enthusiasm for this feature of the pioneer ministry grew to the extent that a peak of more than 100,000 auxiliary pioneers was reached in the United States branch territory in April 1985!

Each year our zeal for Jehovah moves us to exert ourselves fully in the ministry during the months of special theocratic activity.

Hence, we want to be effective in the way we carry out our ministry.

² As an Auxiliary Pioneer: Can you arrange your schedule to spend 50 hours in the ministry during one or more of these months of special activity?

Many have found that auxiliary pioneering helps them to improve the quality of their ministry.

The February 1997 Our Kingdom Ministry insert captured our attention with the bold heading: “Wanted​—100,000 Auxiliary Pioneers.”

Brothers are enjoying getting to know one another better as well as seeing fine results in the ministry.”

Part 4​—Organized to Accomplish Our Ministry Effectively

During these months the weather and longer daylight hours in many parts of the world are favorable for spending more time in the ministry.

Even if no one in the family can auxiliary pioneer, all family members can set specific goals to increase their share in the ministry while working along with those who are able to pioneer.

Reaching Out in Our Ministry

One thing is that we should continually look for ways to reach out for more spiritual activity, endeavoring always to be ‘fully accomplishing our ministry.’​—2 Tim. 4:5.

As an example, for nearly 50 years the Theocratic Ministry School has been giving progressive training in the art of speaking and teaching.

Benefiting More From the Theocratic Ministry School

¹ Throughout the 43 years of its operation, the Theocratic Ministry School has proved to be a success.

Similarly, being effective servants of our God Jehovah involves progressing in the truth and keeping up to date in our ministry.

He reviewed with them principles on Christian living and matters pertaining to their ministry.

Theocratic Ministry School Refinements

¹ Having received the Theocratic Ministry School Schedule for 1984 with the October Our Kingdom Ministry, you have no doubt had opportunity to observe some of the refinements that should serve to make the school even more effective in equipping us for the ministry.

NO DOUBT you have had the opportunity to read the December 1, 1975, Watchtower and the information it gives about the terms “minister” and “ministry.”

As you will notice, the monthly publication that has for many years been called “Kingdom Ministry” has had its name changed to “Our Kingdom Service,” beginning with this January 1976 issue.

Those who joined Jesus in his ministry are spoken of as experiencing “joy.” (Luke 10:17)

Thus we have a natural, strong and unselfish reason for encouraging others to widen out their ministry and, if possible, to vacation pioneer.

Theocratic Ministry School Schedule for 2003

During 2003 the following will be the arrangements for conducting the Theocratic Ministry School.

They enjoy sharing experiences from the field ministry and appreciate hearing about events that occur in connection with Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Kingdom work around the globe.

Some give recommendations about presentations that could be used in the field ministry.

³ Is there some minimum amount of time we should be devoting to the field ministry?

This means that we should individually demonstrate the depth of our devotion and the genuineness of our dedication by doing our utmost in the ministry. (2 Tim. 2:15)

Accordingly, the more time we devote to the field ministry the greater will be our joy.

One’s ability to devote at least one hundred hours a month in the field ministry is important to the Society, but it is not the prime consideration.

Others may have acquired good skills in the ministry more recently.

By sharing in this ministry, they have received “the power beyond what is normal” when facing personal challenges and trials. (2 Cor. 4:7)

2015 Theocratic Ministry School Helps Us Improve Our Teaching

We too want our words to be pleasing to Jehovah because we treasure our privilege of speaking the truth in the congregation and in the ministry.

 2. What is expected at meetings for field service?

² A Fine Arrangement: Meetings for field service are designed to provide encouragement, practical instruction, and direction for those about to go out in the field ministry.

The daily text may be briefly discussed when clearly applicable to the field ministry.

The theme of the special assembly day program for the 2009 service year is “Keep Watching the Ministry . . . , That You Fulfill It,” based on Colossians 4:17.

Our aim is to fulfill our ministry faithfully, even as Jesus did. (John 17:4)
