⁶ No other congregation meeting should be held on the day of the Memorial.

This year the Memorial falls on Thursday, April 8, making this the most important day in 1982.

All day Sunday can be devoted to field service, followed by the Memorial after 6 p.m.

Also, there will be no arrangement for tours on the day of the Memorial, Friday, April 3, 2015.

Also, there will be no arrangement for tours on the day of the Memorial, Monday, April 14, 2014.

Also, there will be no arrangement for tours on the day of the Memorial, Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

In view of all that the ransom accomplished, there is no day more important or precious for Christians than the annual Memorial observance.

 3. How can we show our appreciation to Jehovah for the ransom?

³ Demonstrate Appreciation: One way to show our deep appreciation is to consider the Memorial Bible reading each day and meditate on it.

For example, on the day of the Memorial, a woman called the branch office and said: “I just came home, and there was an invitation under my door.

◼ No meetings other than those for field service are to be held on Sunday, April 17, the day of the Memorial.

Also consider the special Memorial Bible reading each day as a family.

A kindly reminder of the day and time of the Memorial and, if appropriate, an offer to accompany them may encourage them to attend.

MEMORIAL Magazine Day

That day, as the sun sets progressively around the earth, every congregation and group of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will hold the Memorial of Christ’s death.

This year the Memorial falls on the first day of April.

After sundown on that day, we will celebrate the Memorial of Jesus’ death. (1 Cor. 11:20, 24)

Bible students can be informed of the portions to be read, and then they can be encouraged to read the Scriptures each day in anticipation of the Memorial observance.

It may even be possible for you to do this that same night following the Memorial celebration, or sometime before the day of the study.

⁶ The service overseer will make arrangements for special field service activity on the day of the Memorial.

● Since Memorial will be on Sunday this year, it is suggested that no other meetings be held on that day.

You may wish to spend a day just inviting Bible students and other interested persons to attend the Memorial.

Since the Memorial will be the only meeting that day, you may want to have the Watchtower study at another time during the week. (Of course, all Memorial celebrations should begin after 7:00 p.m., daylight saving time.)

◆ The Memorial for 1974 will be held on Sunday, April 7, after 6 p.m., S.T.

Other meetings that are normally held on Sunday should be scheduled for another day.

◆ Group witnessing may be arranged for the world’s Memorial Day, May 29.

Consider local experiences and holidays coming up (Memorial Day) that require standing firm for godly principles.

◆ Group witnessing can be arranged for the world’s Memorial Day, May 31.

◆ The world’s “Memorial Day” holiday comes on Saturday, May 30, this year.

There being no Watchtower study or public talk on this Sunday, we can devote the entire day to field service and arranging to get interested ones to the Memorial.
