To protect ourselves from that danger, we must beg Jehovah to give us the faith and courage we need to face the challenge.​—Read Proverbs 29:25; Luke 17:5.

According to Proverbs 29:25, why do we not need to fear man?

The proverbs in chapters 25 through 29 were transcribed by “the men of Hezekiah the king of Judah.” (Proverbs 25:1)

Jehoiada was loyal to Jehovah and did not tremble in fear of Athaliah.​—Prov. 29:25.

But we can assure such students that with Jehovah’s help they will gradually be able to overcome the fear of man. (Ps. 18:1-3; Prov. 29:25)

Because preaching teaches us to trust in Jehovah and overcome any fear of man. (Prov. 29:25)

Trusting in Jehovah and his Word of truth will protect us from “trembling at men.”​—Prov. 29:25.

But he was not “trembling at men.” (Prov. 29:25)

Peter gave in to the snare of fear of man. (Prov. 29:25)

Now their attitude has softened, and I can visit them regularly.”​—Read Proverbs 29:25.

Godly fear gives us the courage to rise above fear of man. (1 Sam. 11:7; Prov. 29:25)

If we are focused on God’s sovereignty and we trust in him, nobody can cause us to compromise and be ensnared by cowardly fear.​—Prov. 29:25.

Remember: The antidote to fear of man is faith in God. (Read Proverbs 29:25.)

Similarly, a person who succumbs to fear and related pressure has given up at least some control of his life. (Read Proverbs 29:25.)

This is hardly surprising in view of what the Bible says at Proverbs 29:25: “Trembling at men is what lays a snare.”

Alex would do well to recall that “trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected.” (Prov. 29:25)

Later, he fearlessly declared God’s message to Babylon’s rulers. (Proverbs 29:25; Daniel 4:19-25; 5:22-28)

“Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected,” says the Bible at Proverbs 29:25.

For example, he throws some of God’s people off balance by using the snare of “trembling at men.” (Proverbs 29:25)

Appropriately, Solomon wrote: “Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected.”​—Proverbs 29:25.

Says Proverbs 29:25: “Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected.”

The righteous God will strengthen and care for those who say to him from their heart: “You are my refuge and my stronghold, my God, in whom I will trust.”​—Psalm 91:2; Proverbs 29:25.
