“Humble yourselves . . . under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; while you throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.”​—1 PETER 5:6, 7.

The apostle Peter wrote: “Humble yourselves . . . under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; while you throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6, 7)

And this joyful international brotherhood will never collapse, for we have the assurance that ‘after we have suffered a little while, God will finish our training and will make us firm and strong.’ (1 Peter 5:5-11)

Otherwise, we are leaving ourselves open to Satan.​—1 Timothy 3:6, 7; Hebrews 12:7, 11; 1 Peter 5:6-8.

Keep your senses, be watchful.”​—1 Pet. 5:5-8.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; while you throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.”​—1 Pet. 5:5-7, 9.

“God opposes the haughty ones, but he gives undeserved kindness to the humble ones.” (1 Peter 5:5, 6)

¹⁸ If you at one time were an elder or a ministerial servant but do not now serve in that capacity, be sure that God still cares for you, and perhaps he will grant you some unexpected privileges in the future. (1 Peter 5:6, 7)

In this way, he ‘threw all his anxiety upon Jehovah.’​—1 Peter 5:7.

Hence, whatever our anxieties or burdens, let us confidently follow the advice of the apostle Peter: “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; while you throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.”​—1 Peter 5:6, 7.
