The New Study Edition of The Watchtower

WE ARE pleased to announce that for a trial period of one year, beginning with this issue of the study edition of The Watchtower, we will publish simultaneously each month a simplified English edition.

FOR decades, men and women around the globe have appreciated and benefited from the Bible-based information published in the pages of The Watchtower.

In July 2011, the first issue of a simplified study edition of this magazine was published in the English language.

Regarding the study edition, a longtime servant of Jehovah wrote: “Marvelous and penetrating​—that was my impression of the first study edition of The Watchtower.

First, there is the simplified edition of The Watchtower.a

The congregation of God’s people in assembly certainly appreciated the good words presented by Brothers Adams and Knorr and they were indeed grateful for the announcement that the Watchtower magazine would be increased from twelve pages to sixteen and glad to hear the complimentary remarks on what good work the Indonesian brothers were doing with the Watchtower magazine in their own language.

The Watchtower Study begins with a song.

Many publishers use JW Library^® to prepare for meetings, and they appreciate how it conveniently presents individual Watchtower study articles.

Produced in this 20th century, it has the advantage of many recent discoveries of archaeology and the benefit of the progress of modern-day study of ancient languages.

The Watchtower edition presents it without any alterations and with all its valuable footnotes and with an especially useful 95-page cyclopedic concordance of more than 3,000 entries.

There are features in The Watchtower and Awake! that provide an excellent basis for family discussion.

In every other issue, the public edition of The Watchtower contains the study project “For Our Young People.”
