Examining the Scriptures Daily—2026

Sunday, September 6

You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things.—Rev. 4:11.

The most important reason why we preach the good news is that we love Jehovah God and his holy name. We view our ministry as a way to praise the God we love. We wholeheartedly agree that Jehovah God is worthy to receive glory, honor, and power from his loyal worshippers. We give him glory and honor when we share with others the convincing evidence that he “created all things” and that we owe him our very existence. We give him power—our power—when we use our time, energy, and resources to share in the ministry as fully as our circumstances allow. (Matt. 6:33; Luke 13:24; Col. 3:23) Put simply, we love to speak about the God we love. We also feel compelled to tell others about his name and what it stands for. w24.05 20:11

TREASURES FROM GOD’S WORD

1. “I Will Make . . . a New Covenant”

(10 min.)

Jehovah promised to replace the Mosaic Law covenant with “a new covenant” that would have much broader and long-term benefits (Jer 31:31, 32; w14 10/15 2:7)

The new covenant would be between Jehovah and the Israel of God and would provide a legal basis for forgiveness of sins (Jer 31:33, 34; w24.12 49:9)

Christians who are not part of the Israel of God also benefit from the new covenant (w10 3/15 4:14; jr 177 ¶18)

7. Be Adaptable—Use JW.ORG

(15 min.) Discussion.

A couple in the door-to-door ministry, showing the jw.org website to a mother and her young daughter.

We can be adaptable in the ministry by anticipating situations that we may encounter and preparing for them. However, at times the householder will bring up something that we are not ready to discuss. What tool can help us to adjust the conversation quickly?

Play the VIDEO “Iron Sharpens Iron”—Effective Use of JW.ORG—Excerpt. Then ask the audience:

Imagine that you are preaching from house to house during the campaign and a householder tells you that he does not believe in God because he felt abandoned by Him when he experienced a personal tragedy.

  • Before giving a witness, how could we demonstrate empathy?—Jas 1:19

  • What scripture might you share? How would you find that scripture on jw.org?

  • If a scripture does not quickly come to mind, what would you type in the search box to find helpful information?

  • If you do not have access to jw.org or JW Library®, how would you try to help the householder?

8. Congregation Bible Study

(30 min.) bt 25:8-13, Box 3
