“Te tau kai ai e ha mo inu e ha?”
MEʻAKAI mo e inu—ko e tōpiki eni naʻe fai ki ai ʻa e talanoá ʻi he taimi ki he taimi lolotonga e ngāue fakafaifekau ʻa Sīsuú. Ko ʻene ʻuluaki maná ko hono liliu ʻa e vaí ko e uaine, pea naʻe tuʻo ua ʻene fafangaʻi ʻa e fuʻu tokolahi ʻaki ha ngaahi foʻi mā mo ha mataʻiika. (Mātiu 16:7-10; Sione 2:3-11) Naʻe ʻiloa ʻa Sīsū ʻo ʻikai ʻi heʻene kai pē mo e kau masivá kae toe pehē foki ʻi heʻene kai kātoanga mo e kau koloaʻiá. Ko hono moʻoní, ko e ngaahi fili ʻo Sīsuú naʻa nau tukuakiʻi ia ko e tokotaha faʻa kai mo faʻa konā. (Mātiu 11:18, 19) Ko e moʻoni, naʻe ʻikai ke pehē ʻa Sīsū. Kae kehe, naʻá ne ʻiloʻi ko e meʻakaí mo e inú naʻe mahuʻinga ʻaupito ia ki he kakaí, pea naʻá ne ngāueʻaki pōtoʻi ʻa e ongo meʻá ni ke fakatātaaʻiʻaki ʻa e ngaahi lēsoni fakalaumālie loloto.—Luke 22:14-20; Sione 6:35-40.
Ko e hā e meʻakai mo e inu naʻe lahi ʻi he taimi ʻo Sīsuú? Naʻe anga-fēfē hono teuteu ʻo e meʻakaí? Pea ko e hā hono lahi ʻo e ngāue ʻi hono teuteu iá? Ko e tali ki he ngaahi fehuʻi ko iá ʻe tokoniʻi ai koe ke ke mahinoʻi lelei ange ʻa e niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi meʻa naʻe hoko mo e ngaahi kupuʻi lea naʻe lave ki ai ʻi he Kōsipelí.
Foaki Mai “he ʻAhoni Haʻamau Meʻakai”
ʻI hono akoʻi ʻe Sīsū ʻa ʻene kau ākongá ki he founga ʻo e lotú, naʻá ne fakahaaʻi ai naʻe totonu ke kole ki he ʻOtuá ke ne tokonaki mai ʻa e ngaahi meʻa tefito ki he moʻuí—ko e ‘meʻakai ki he ʻahó ni.’ (Mātiu 6:11) Ko e maá ko ha konga mahuʻinga ia ʻo e meʻakaí he ʻi he lea faka-Hepeluú mo e faka-Kalisí fakatouʻosi, ko e kupuʻi lea “kai ha meʻakaí” ʻoku ʻuhinga moʻoni iá ko e “kai mā.” Naʻe ngāueʻaki ʻa e Sīlioló ki hono ngaohi ʻo e maá, hangē ko e uité mo e paʻalé, pea pehē ki he ngaahi meʻa kehe, hangē ko e ʻoutí, sipelí mo e mīletí, naʻe ngaohiʻaki ia ha konga lahi ʻo e meʻakai ʻa e kau Siu ʻi he ʻuluaki senitulí. ʻOku fakafuofua ʻe he kau fakatotoló naʻe kai ʻe ha tokotaha ʻa e kilokalami uite ʻe 200 nai ʻi he taʻu, ʻo maʻu ai ʻa e vaeua ʻo e ʻiuniti ʻo e ivi naʻe fiemaʻu ʻe he tokotahá.
Naʻe lava ke fakatau mai ʻa e mā ʻi he māketí. Ka ko e tokolahi taha ʻo e ngaahi fāmilí naʻa nau taʻo ʻenau mā pē ʻanautolu—ko ha fatongia naʻe kau ki ai ha ngāue lahi. Ko e tohi ko e Bread, Wine, Walls and Scrolls ʻoku fakamatala ai: “Hangē ko ia ko e faingataʻa ke fakatolonga ʻa e mahoaʻá, ko hono momosí naʻe fai ia ʻe ha uaifi tauhi ʻapi ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē.” Ko e hā hono lōloa ʻo e ngāue ko ení? “ʻI ha houa ʻo e ngāue mālohi ʻo ngāueʻaki ha meʻa momosi nima,” ko e fakamatala ia ʻa e faʻu-tohí, “ʻoku ʻikai toe laka hake ʻi he mahoaʻa kilokalami ʻe 0.8 [meimei pāuni ʻe ua] ʻoku ngaohi mei he kilokalami ʻe 1 [laka hake he pāuni ʻe ua] ʻo e uité. Koeʻuhi ko e lahi ʻo e uite ʻoku kai ʻe ha tokotaha he ʻahó ko e 1/2 kilokalami nai [ko ha pāuni], ke tokonaki maʻa ha fāmili ʻoku toko nima pe ono, naʻe fiemaʻu ai ke fai ʻe he uaifi tauhi ʻapí ʻa e ngāue momosi houa ʻe tolu.”
Sai fakakaukau atu fekauʻaki mo Mele, faʻē ʻa Sīsuú. Tānaki atu ki heʻene ngaahi ngāue kehe fakaʻapí, naʻe pau ke ne tokonaki ha mā feʻunga ke fafangaʻaki hono husepānití, tamaiki tangata ʻe toko nima, pea ʻikai siʻi hifo he tamaiki fefine ʻe toko ua. (Mātiu 13:55, 56) ʻOku ʻikai ha veiveiua, ko Mele, ʻi he hangē ko e kau fefine Siu kehé, naʻá ne ngāue mālohi ke tokoni ki hono teuteu ʻa e ‘meʻakai ki he ʻaho ko ení.’
“Mou Ōmi ʻo Fai Hoʻomou Pelekifasi”
Hili e toetuʻu ʻa Sīsuú, naʻá ne hā hengihengi ai ʻi he ʻaho ʻe taha ki he niʻihi ʻo ʻene kau ākongá. Naʻe toutai ʻa e kau ākongá ʻi he poó kotoa, ʻo ʻikai hano ola. “Mou ōmi ʻo fai hoʻomou pelekifasi,” ko e ui ia ʻa Sīsū ki hono ngaahi kaumeʻa ongosiá. Naʻá ne ʻoange leva kia kinautolu ʻa e ika foʻou mo e mā. (Sione 21:9-13) Neongo ko e lave pē eni ʻe taha ʻi he Kōsipelí ki ha houa kai pongipongi, naʻe anga-maheni ke kamata ʻe he kakaí ʻa e ʻahó ʻaki ʻenau kai mā, nati, fuamelie pe ko e ʻōlive.
Fēfē ʻa e kai hoʻataá? Ko e hā naʻe kai ʻe he kau ngāué? Ko e tohi ko e Life in Biblical Israel ʻoku pehē ai: “Ko e kai hoʻataá naʻe maʻamaʻa, ʻo kau ki ai ʻa e mā, uite, ʻōlive mo e fiki.” Ko e ngaahi meʻa ia ʻoku pau naʻe ʻave ʻe he kau ākongá ʻi heʻenau foki mei Saika ʻo ʻiloʻi ʻa Sīsū ʻoku talanoa ki ha fefine Samēlia ʻi he vaitupú. Ko e houá “naʻe feʻunga nai mo e ono,” pe hoʻatā mālie, pea ko e kau ākongá naʻa nau “ʻalu ange ki he kolo ke fakatau meʻakai.”—Sione 4:5-8.
ʻI he efiafí, naʻe fakatahataha ai ʻa e ngaahi fāmilí ki he houa kai tefito ʻo e ʻahó. ʻI hono fakamatalaʻi ʻo e houa kai ko ení, ko e tohi Poverty and Charity in Roman Palestine, First Three Centuries C.E. ʻoku pehē ai: “Ko e tokolahi taha ʻo e kakaí naʻa nau kai mā pe polisi naʻe ngaohiʻaki ʻa e paʻale, ko e sīliolo mo e lekiume kehekehe, pe lahi ange ai ʻa e uité. Naʻa nau faʻa tānaki ki ai ʻa e māsima mo e lolo pe ʻōlive, ko ha soosi mālohi ʻi he taimi ki he taimi, hone, pe huhuaʻi fuaʻiʻakau melie.” Ko e huʻakaú, siisi, vesitapolo, mo e fuaʻiʻakau foʻou pe tauakí naʻe kau nai mo ia ʻi he houa kaí. Ko e faʻahinga nai ʻe 30 ʻo e vesitapoló naʻe ala maʻu ʻi he taimi ko iá—ko e onioni, kāliki, lātisi, kāloti, mo e kāpisí, ko ha konga siʻi pē ia—mo e fuaʻiʻakau kehekehe laka hake he 25, hangē ko e (1) fiki, (2) teiti, mo e (3) pomikānite, naʻe tō ʻi he feituʻú.
ʻE lava ke ke sioloto atu ki he niʻihi ʻo e ngaahi meʻa ko ení ʻi he tēpilé ʻi he taimi naʻe kau ai ʻa Sīsū ʻi ha kai efiafi mo Lāsalosi mo hono ongo tuofefiné, ʻa Māʻata mo Mele? Sai fakaʻuta atu angé ki he manongi naʻe fakafonuʻaki e lokí ʻi hono pani ʻe Mele ʻa e vaʻe ʻo Sīsuú ʻaki ʻa e “naati moʻoni”—ko e nanamu ʻo e meʻakaí ʻi heʻene tuifio mo e ʻalaha ʻo e lolo kakala mahuʻingá.—Sione 12:1-3.
“Oka Ke Ka Teu ae Katoaga”
ʻI ha toe taimi ʻe taha, lolotonga ʻene kai ʻi he “fale ʻo ha toko taha ʻo e houʻeiki Falesi,” naʻe akoʻi ai ʻe Sīsū ki he faʻahinga naʻe ʻi aí ha lēsoni mahuʻinga. Naʻá ne pehē: “Oka ke ka teu ae katoaga, ui ae kau majiva, moe lavea, moe bibiki, moe kui: E monuia ai akoe; he oku ikai te nau faa totogi kiate koe: ka e totogi kiate koe i he toetuu oe agatonu.” (Luke 14:1-14, PM) Kapau naʻe muimui ʻa e Fālesí ʻi he faleʻi ʻa Sīsuú, ko e hā ʻa e meʻakai naʻá ne mei ngaohi ʻi ha kātoanga kai pehē?
ʻE ʻomai nai ʻe ha tangata koloaʻia ha mā makehe, kuo taʻo ʻi he fuo kehekehe pea fakaifoifo ʻaki ʻa e uaine, hone, huʻakau mo e ngaahi sipaisi. Ko e patá mo e sīsí ʻoku ngalingali ʻe ʻi he tēpilé. Ko e ʻōlive foʻou, ʻōlive fakatolonga, pe lolo ʻōlivé ʻoku ʻikai ha veiveiua ʻe ʻi ai mo ia. Fakatatau ki he tohi ko e Food in Antiquity, “ko e tokotaha kotoa pē naʻá ne maʻu ʻi heʻene kaí ʻa e kilo ʻe uofulu [pāuni ʻe 40] ʻo e lolo ʻōlivé ʻi he taʻu, pea ngāueʻaki mo e toe lolo lahi ange ki he meʻa-teuteú pea ki he māmá.”
Kapau naʻe nofo ofi ki tahi ʻa e Fālesí, ko ia mo ʻene kau fakaafé ʻoku ngalingali te nau kai ʻa e ika naʻe toki maʻu foʻou. Ko e faʻahinga naʻe nofo ʻi loto fonuá naʻa nau angaʻaki hono kai ʻa e ika kuo fakatolonga ʻaki ʻa e vinika pe fakamāsima. ʻE toe ʻomai foki ʻe he tokotaha talitalí ha kakanoʻi manu—ko ha meʻakai lelei ʻoku tātātaha ke maʻu ʻe ha tokotaha fakaafe masiva. Ko ha meʻakai anga-maheni ange ko ha tisi fuaʻimoa ʻi hano faʻahinga ngaohi. (Luke 11:12) Ko e ifo ʻo e ngaahi tisi ko ení kuo toe fakalahi ia ʻaki ʻa e fanga kiʻi ʻakau fakanamulelei mo e sipaisi, hangē ko e miniti, ʻāneto, kūmino mo e mūsita.
Ko e faʻahinga ʻi he kātoangá ʻoku ngalingali ʻe ʻoange kia kinautolu ʻa e kālepi—foʻou, tauaki pe ko e uaine. Naʻe maʻu ʻa e ngaahi tataʻoʻanga uaine ʻe laui afe ʻi Pālesitaine, ʻo fakamoʻoniʻi ai ʻa e manakoa ʻo e uainé. ʻI he feituʻu ʻe taha ʻi Kipione, naʻe ʻiloʻi ai ʻe he kau keli fakatotoló ha fanga kiʻi loki tukuʻanga meʻa ʻe 63 naʻe tongi ʻi he maká ʻa ia naʻe lava ke tauhi ai ha lita uaine ʻe 100,000.
“ʻOua Te Mou Lotomoʻua”
ʻI hoʻo lau ʻa e Kōsipelí, fakatokangaʻi ange ʻa e tuʻo lahi ʻo e lave ʻa Sīsū ki he meʻakaí pe inú ʻi heʻene ngaahi talanoa fakatātaá pe ko e founga ʻo ʻene akoʻi ha lēsoni mahuʻinga lolotonga ʻene ʻi ha kai. Ko e moʻoni, ko Sīsū mo ʻene kau ākongá naʻa nau fiefia ʻi he kaí mo e inú, tautefito ʻi he ʻi ai ʻa e feohi leleí, ka naʻe ʻikai te nau ʻai ʻa e ngaahi meʻá ni ko e meʻa mahuʻinga taha ia ʻi he moʻuí.
Naʻe tokoniʻi ʻe Sīsū ʻene kau ākongá ke nau tauhi maʻu ha vakai mafamafatatau ki he meʻakaí mo e inú ʻi heʻene pehē: “ʻOua te mou lotomoʻua, ʻo mou pehe, Te tau kai ai e ha mo inu e ha? mo kofuʻaki ʻa e ha? he ko e ngāhi mea ko eni ʻoku hehenga ki ai ʻa Senitaile: pea ʻoku meaʻi ʻe hoʻomou Tamai Fakalangi ʻoku tāu mo kimoutolu ʻa e ngāhi meʻa ko ia kotoa.” (Mātiu 6:31, 32) Naʻe tali ʻe he kau ākongá ʻa e lēsoni ko ení, pea naʻe tokangaʻi ʻe he ʻOtuá ʻenau ngaahi fiemaʻú. (2 Kolinito 9:8) Ko e moʻoni, ʻoku kehe nai hoʻo meʻakaí mei he meʻakai ʻa e faʻahinga naʻa nau moʻui ʻi he ʻuluaki senitulí. Ka ʻoku lava ke ke fakapapauʻi ʻe tokangaʻi koe ʻe he ʻOtuá kapau te ke fakamuʻomuʻa ʻa e tauhi kiate iá ʻi hoʻo moʻuí.—Mātiu 6:33, 34.
