Hebrews

10 And since the Law na just the shadow of* the good things wey de come, but no be the real thing, e* no go fit ever make people wey de come near God dey perfect with the same sacrifice them wey them de always give every year. 2 If na so, them for never stop to do sacrifice them, because once the people wey de worship God don clean, their conscience no go de worry them about their sins again? 3 Instead, all this sacrifice de remind the people of their sins every year, 4 because e no dey possible for the blood of bulls and goats to remove sins.

5 So when e come the world, e talk say: “‘You no want sacrifice and offering, but you don prepare body for me. 6 You no gree for full animal sacrifice them and sin offerings.’ 7 Then I talk say: ‘See! I don come to do wetin you want, O God. (Them don write this one about me for the scroll.*)’” 8 After e first talk say: “You no want and you no gree for sacrifice them and offerings and full animal sacrifice them and sin offerings”—them de give this sacrifice them as the Law talk— 9 then e talk say: “See! I don come to do wetin you want.” E remove the first one wey don dey, so that e go start the second one. 10 Because of this thing wey God “want,” we don dey holy through the body of Jesus Christ wey e give as sacrifice once and for all.

11 Another thing na say, every priest de stand for im position everyday to do holy work* and to do the same sacrifice them everytime, wey no go fit ever remove sin finish. 12 But this man give one sacrifice for sins once and for all, and sitdown for the right hand side of God. 13 From that time, e de wait until God go put im enemies as stool wey e go put im leg ontop. 14 Na one sacrifice e give to make people wey don dey holy to dey perfect once and for all. 15 Apart from that one, the holy spirit still make us dey sure of this one, because after the spirit don talk say: 16 “Jehovah talk say, ‘Na this one be the agreement wey I go make with them after those days. I go put my laws inside their hearts, and I go write them for their minds.’” 17 Then e talk say: “And I no go remember their sins again and the bad things wey them do.” 18 Now when God don forgive person for this things, no need for sacrifice for sin again.

19 So my brothers, since the blood of Jesus don make us no de fear* for the way to enter the holy place, 20 wey e open* for us as new way to life when e pass through the curtain wey be im body, 21 and since we get great priest wey de care for the house of God, 22 make we come near God with all our heart and complete faith, because them don sprinkle our heart make e dey clean from wicked conscience and bath our body with clean water. 23 Make we continue to tell people about our hope and make we no shake, because the person wey make this promise no de fail. 24 And make we de really think about* one another, so that we go fit encourage* one another to show love and do fine work. 25 And make we no de stop to meet together as some people de do, but make we de encourage one another and de really do this things as una see say the day don de near.

26 If we know say wetin we de do na sin and we continue to do-am after we don know the correct teaching about the truth, no sacrifice remain for our sins again, 27 but na to wait for judgment with fear and wait for the vex wey de burn like fire, wey go burn people wey dey against God. 28 Anybody wey no gree obey the Law of Moses de die with no pity, as long as say two or three people wey see wetin happen fit prove-am. 29 Una no think say the punishment go really big for person wey reject* the Son of God, and wey see the blood of the agreement wey God use make-am dey holy as common thing and wey no get respect at all for the spirit of special favor? 30 We know the Person wey talk say: “Na me go give punishment. I go pay back.” And again: “Jehovah go judge im people.” 31 The worst thing wey fit happen to person na to get punishment from the hand of the God wey dey alive.

32 But make una continue to remember the days wey don pass, after una see the light, una endure different-different suffer as una de really struggle. 33 Sometimes, them de bring una out for public* to talk bad about una and to suffer una. And sometimes, una join* to suffer with people wey de face this kind things. 34 Una show pity for people wey dey prison, and as una lose una things, una accept this one with joy, because una know say una get better property wey de last.

35 So make una no troway the strong heart wey una get* wey go bring big reward. 36 Because una need to endure, so that after una don do wetin God want, una go fit get the thing wey e don promise. 37 But “na just small time,” and “the person wey de come go come and e no go waste time.” 38 “But my person wey dey righteous go live because of faith,” and “if e de draw go back, I* no go dey happy with-am.” 39 Now we no be the kind people wey de draw go back make them destroy them, but we be the kind people wey get faith and this one go save our life.*
