First Corinthians
13 If I de speak different-different language wey people de speak and the ones wey angels de speak but I no get love, I don be like bell or cymbal* wey de make loud noise. 2 And if I get the gift to fit talk message from God and understand all the holy secret and all the things wey people no know, and if I get all the faith wey fit make me move* mountains, but I no get love, I be nothing.* 3 And if I give everything wey I get to feed people, and if I surrender my body so that I fit boast, but I no get love, I no gain anything at all.
4 Love dey patient and kind. Love no de jealous. E no de make mouth, e no de carry body up, 5 e no de behave anyhow,* e no de look for wetin go benefit only imself, e no de quick vex, e no de keep record of bad thing wey people do-am. 6 E no de happy for something wey no correct for God eye, but e de happy with the truth. 7 E de bear everything, e de believe everything, e get hope for everything, and e de endure everything.
8 Love no de fail. But if gifts to talk message from God dey, them go end. If gifts to speak different-different language dey,* them go stop. If gifts to know things wey people no know dey, e go end. 9 The things wey we know no complete, and the message wey we de talk from God no complete, 10 but when the thing wey dey complete come, the thing wey no dey complete go end. 11 When I be small pikin, I de talk like small pikin, de think like small pikin, de reason like small pikin. But now wey I don be man, I don troway all the character wey small pikin get. 12 For now, the thing wey we de see for iron mirror no clear well,* but time de come wey we go see-am face-to-face. For now, the thing wey I know no complete, but time de come when I go know-am well, just as God know me well. 13 But now, this three things go remain: faith, hope, love. But the one wey dey important pass for all of them na love.
