The Governing Body na small group of mature Christians wey de direct the work of Jehovah Witness for the whole world. Them de do this work for two ways:

• Them de arrange how them de make our books, videos, meetings, and schools wey them de use teach us Bible.​​—Luke 12:⁠42.

• Them de arrange the preaching work wey Jehovah Witness people de do and de decide how they go use the money wey people contribute.

The Governing Body de follow the example of “the apostles and elders for Jerusalem” wey de make important decisions for the Christian congregation. (Acts 15:⁠2) Like the apostles, the Governing Body members no be leaders for our organization. Them de allow Bible guide them, and they gree say Jehovah don choose Jesus Christ as Head of the congregation.​​—1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:​23.

• Coordinators’ Committee: Them de care for anything wey concern law and de help when something bad happen to our brothers for one area, when them de suffer Jehovah Witness because of their faith, and when other important matters de affect Jehovah Witness.

• Personnel Committee: Na them de care for Bethel family members.

• Publishing Committee: Na them de arrange how they go print and share our books and how them de build our Kingdom Halls, translation office, and branch office.

• Service Committee: Na them de arrange how we de preach the “good news about the Kingdom.”​​—Matthew 24:⁠14.

• Teaching Committee: Na them de arrange wetin they go teach for our meetings, schools, and audio and video programs.

• Writing Committee: Na them de arrange everything wey them de print and put for our website, and na them still de arrange the translation work.

Apart from the work wey them de do for this committees, the Governing Body de meet together every week to discuss wetin the organization need. For this meetings, them de discuss wetin Bible talk, and de allow holy spirit to guide them as them de make decisions.​​—Acts 15:⁠25.

Some Christian men wey they fit trust de serve for this committees to help the Governing Body. (1 Corinthians 4:⁠2) Them de use the things wey they don learn to help the Governing Body committees. Each of them de serve for one committee and de attend the meeting wey their committee de do every week. Even though say they no de make decisions, them de help to give better advise and make sure say they follow the decisions wey the Governing Body make, and from time to time, them de check to see whether they don do wetin the Governing Body don decide. They fit still give them assignment to visit our brothers and sisters around the world or to give talk for annual meeting or Gilead graduation.
