Second John
1 Me, the old man,* de write to the woman wey God don choose and to im children, wey I love with all my heart. No be only me, but all the people wey don know the truth, 2 because of the truth wey dey inside us, and wey go dey with us forever. 3 We go get special favor, mercy, and peace from God the Papa, and from Jesus Christ wey be the Son of the Papa, and them go love us and teach us the truth.
4 I de happy no be small because I don see say some of your children de follow the truth just as the Papa command us. 5 So now, woman wey God don choose, I de beg you say make we love each other. (No be new commandment I de write to you, but na the commandment wey we get from the beginning.) 6 And wetin love mean be say, make we continue to follow the things wey God don command us. And the commandment just as una don hear-am from the beginning, na, make una continue to show love. 7 Because, many deceivers don dey for the world, people wey no believe say Jesus come as person. Anybody wey de talk this kind thing na the deceiver and the person wey dey against Christ.*
8 Make una dey careful so that una no go spoil the work wey we don struggle to do. So that una go fit get the complete blessing. 9 Anybody wey de do pass wetin Christ teach us and de teach another thing, no dey as one with God, but the person wey continue to follow wetin Christ de teach us, na person wey dey as one with the Papa and im Son. 10 If anybody come meet una and wetin e de teach no agree with wetin Christ teach, make una no let-am enter una house, or even greet-am. 11 Because anybody wey greet this person de support the wicked things wey e de do.
12 Even though say I get plenty things wey I for like tell una, I no want write everything for letter* give una. But I de expect say I go come see una and we go talk face-to-face, so that una go really happy.
13 The children of your sister, the one wey God don choose, de greet you.
