  The word “synagogue” mean “to gather together.” Them de use the word talk about Jew people wey gather together. Later, them come de call the place or the building where them de gather to worship Jehovah, synagogue.
  
  People believe say e fit be around the 70 years wey the Jews dey Babylon na im them start to get synagogue, or immediately after them come back from Babylon. Them de go synagogue to learn about Jehovah, read God Word, and listen to the way them de explain God Word. For the apostles time, every town for Palestine get synagogue. Big cities like Jerusalem de even get pass one synagogue.
  
  After Jew people free from Babylon, no be all of them come back to Palestine. Many people travel go other countries to go do business. Even from around fifth century B.C.E., Jew people don de live for different-different areas for the 127 places wey Persia people de rule. (Esther 1:1; 3:8) After some time, Jew people come dey for all the cities wey dey around the Mediterranean Sea. This Jew people come start to gather for synagogues for the different-different place wey them dey.
  
  For the synagogues, them de read and explain the Law every Sabbath. Person go read-am from platform, and seat dey for three sides round the platform. Any Jew man wey de serve God well, fit read, preach or explain the Scriptures from the platform.
