KuMthendeleko WeMinquba
UYESU uye waba ngumntu odumileyo ebudeni beminyaka ephantse ibe mithathu ukususela ekubhaptizweni kwakhe. Abantu abaninzi bayibonile imimangaliso ayenzayo, yaye iingxelo ezingemisebenzi yakhe ziye zasasazeka kulo lonke ilizwe. Ngoku, njengokuba abantu behlanganisana ukuze benze uMthendeleko weMinquba eYerusalem, bayamkhangela apho. Bafuna ukwazi ukuba: “Uphi na yena?”
Abantu baye baphikisana ngoYesu. Bambi bathi, “Ulungile.” Abanye bathi, “Hayi, yena ulahlekisa uluntu olu.” Kukho ukusebeza okukhulu okulolu hlobo ebudeni beentsuku zokuqala zomthendeleko. Kanti akukho namnye unesibindi sokumthethelela ngokuphandle uYesu. Oku kungenxa yokuba abantu boyika okuya kwenziwa kubo ziinkokeli zamaYuda.

UYesu uyacacisa: “Eyam imfundiso asiyam, yeyalowo wandithumayo. Ukuba kukho othi afune ukukwenza ukuthanda kwakhe, woyazi imfundiso le: ukuba iphuma kuThixo, nokuba mna ndithetha okukokwam, kusini na.” Imfundiso kaYesu inamathele kakhulu kumthetho kaThixo. Ngaloo ndlela, kucacile ukuba ufuna ukuzukisa uThixo, kungekhona yena. UYesu uyababuza esithi, “UMthetho aniwunikelwanga na nguMoses?” Ebakhalimela, uthi: “Akukho namnye kuni uwugcinayo umthetho.”
Wandula ke uYesu ababuze esithi: “Yini na ukuba nifune ukundibulala?”
Abantu abaphakathi kwesihlwele ngokunokwenzeka iindwendwe ezize emthendelekweni, aziqondi ukuba kukho imigudu enjalo. Aziyikholelwa into yokuba kungakho nabani na onokufuna ukubulala umfundisi omangalisa ngolu hlobo. Ngoko zicinga ukuba ukho undonakele kuYesu le nto ecinga ngolu hlobo nje. Zithi: “Unedemon; ngubani na ofuna ukukubulala?”
Iinkokeli zamaYuda zifuna ukumbulala uYesu, nangona isihlwele sisenokuba asikuqondi oko. Xa uYesu waphilisa umntu ngeSabatha unyaka onesiqingatha ngaphambilana, iinkokeli zazama ukumbulala. Ngoko uYesu uzibonisa ukungaqiqi kwazo ngokuzibuza esithi: “Ukuba umntu uyaluswa ngesabatha, ukuze ungaphulwa umthetho kaMoses, nindijalele na ngokuba ndiphilise umntu, waphila kwaphela, ngesabatha? Musani ukugweba ngokwembonakalo; gwebani ngomgwebo olungisayo.”
Abemi baseYerusalem, abayiqondayo le meko, ngoku bathi: “Asinguye na lo bafuna ukumbulala? Niyabona, uthetha ngokuphandle, abathethi nto kuye; bangaba kanti na ke bayazi okwenyaniso abaphathi, ukuba lo nguye uKristu okwenyaniso?” Abemi baseYerusalem bachaza isizathu sokuba bangakholelwa ukuba uYesu unguKristu: “Thina siyamazi lo apho avela khona; xa sukuba ke uKristu esiza, akukho namnye uya kumazi apho avela khona.”
UYesu ubaphendula ngelithi: “Nina niyandazi, nikwazi nalapho ndivela khona; andizanga ngokwam; uyinyaniso owandithumayo, eningamaziyo nina. Mna ke ndiyamazi; ngokuba ndivela kuye, waye yena endithumile.” Xa kanye kukobo buthuba bafuna ukumbamba, mhlawumbi ukuze bamfake entolongweni okanye bambulale. Kanti abaphumeleli kuba ayikabi lixesha lokuba uYesu afe.
Sekunjalo, abaninzi bayakholwa kuYesu, njengoko ngokwenene befanele ukwenjenjalo. Ewe, uye wahamba phezu kwamanzi, wadambisa uqhwithela, wazolisa ulwandle olulwayo, wondla ngokungummangaliso amawaka abantu ngezonka neentlanzi ezimbalwa, waphilisa abagulayo, wenza iziqhwala zahamba, wavula amehlo eemfama, waphilisa abaneqhenqa wada wavusa nabafileyo. Ngoko bayabuza: “UKristu, xa athe wafika, angaba uya kwenza imiqondiso emininzi na kunale ayenzileyo lo?”
Xa abaFarisi besiva isihlwele sidumzela sithetha ezi zinto, bona kunye nababingeleli abakhulu bathuma amadindala ukuba abambe uYesu. Yohane 7:11-32.
