Ukulwa Nokonakala Ngenkemba Yomoya
‘gqokani ubuntu obusha obadalwa ngokwentando kaNKulunkulu ngokulunga kweqiniso nokwethembeka.’—Efesu 4:24.
LAPHO uMbuso WaseRoma usadlondlobele, wawuwumbuso omkhulu kunayo yonke imibuso yabantu eyake yaba khona emhlabeni. Umthetho waseRoma wawuphumelela kangangokuthi useyisisekelo somthetho wamazwe amaningi. Nokho, naphezu kwalokho iRoma eyakufinyelela, amabutho ayo awakwazanga ukunqoba isitha esisodwa esikhohlisayo: ukonakala. Ekugcineni, ukonakala kwasheshisa ukuwa kweRoma.
Umphostoli uPawulu ngomunye wabahlupheka ngaphansi kwezikhulu zaseRoma ezonakele. Kubonakala sengathi uFeliksi, umbusi waseRoma owamphenya ngemibuzo, wayekuqaphela ukuba msulwa kukaPawulu. Kodwa uFeliksi, omunye wababusi abonakele kakhulu bangesikhathi sakhe, wabambezela ukuqulwa kwecala likaPawulu, enethemba lokuthi uPawulu wayeyomnika imali ukuze aqinisekise ukukhululwa kwakhe.—IzEnzo 24:22-26.
Kunokuba afumbathise uFeliksi, uPawulu wakhuluma naye ngokungagungci ‘ngokulunga nokuzithiba.’ UFeliksi akazange ashintshe izindlela zakhe, futhi uPawulu waqhubeka esejele kunokuba azame ukugwema inqubo engokomthetho ngokufumbathisa. Washumayela isigijimi seqiniso nokwethembeka futhi waphila ngokuvumelana naso. Wabhalela amaKristu angamaJuda: “Sithemba ukuthi sinonembeza othembekile, njengoba sifisa ukuziphatha ngokwethembeka ezintweni zonke.”—Heberu 13:18.
Ukuma okunjalo kwakuphambene kakhulu nokuziphatha kwangaleso sikhathi. Umfowabo kaFeliksi uPallas wayengomunye wabantu ababecebe kakhulu endulo, futhi ingcebo yakhe—ebalelwa ezigidini ezingu-275 zamaRandi—cishe yonke yayiqongelelwe ngokufunjathiswa nokuphamba. Nokho, ingcebo yakhe iba ubala lapho iqhathaniswa nezinkulungwane zezigidi zamaRandi abanye ababusi abonakele bangekhulu lama-20 abaye bazifihla kuma-akhawunti asebhange ayimfihlo. Ngokusobala, umuntu ongahlakaniphile kuphela ongakholelwa ukuthi ohulumeni banamuhla baye bayinqoba impi yokulwa nokonakala.
Njengoba ukonakala kuye kwaqhubeka kugxilile isikhathi eside kangaka, ingabe kumelwe siphethe ngokuthi kumane nje kuyindlela engokwemvelo yomuntu? Noma ingabe kukhona okungenziwa ukuze kunqandwe ukonakala?
Kunganqandwa Kanjani Ukonakala?
Isinyathelo sokuqala esisobala sokunqanda ukonakala siwukuqaphela ukuthi ukonakala kuyonakalisa futhi kubi, njengoba kuzuzisa abantu abangaphili ngezimiso, bese lokho kulimaza abanye. Akungabazeki ukuthi kuye kwenziwa intuthuko ekuqapheleni lokho. UJames Foley, isekela likanobhala wombuso wase-United States, wathi: “Sonke siyaqaphela ukuthi mkhulu umvuzo okhokhwayo ngenxa yokufumbathisa. Ukufumbathisa kuthunaza ukubusa okuhle, konakalisa ukusebenza kahle nentuthuko yezomnotho, kusonta ezohwebo, futhi kubeka izakhamuzi kuwo wonke umhlaba esimweni esibucayi.” Baningi abangavumelana naye. Ngo-December 17, 1997, amazwe amakhulu angu-34 asayina “isivumelwano sokufumbathisa” esiklanyelwe “ukuba nethonya elikhulu ekulweni nokonakala emhlabeni wonke.” Leso sivumelwano “sikwenza kube icala ukuthembisa noma ukufumbathisa isisebenzi sikahulumeni sakwelinye izwe ukuze kutholwe noma kulondolozwe ibhizinisi emazweni omhlaba.”
Nokho, ukufumbathisa ukuze uthole izivumelwano zebhizinisi kwamanye amazwe kumane nje kuyingxenye encane yale nkinga enkulu yokonakala. Ukuqeda ukonakala emazweni ngamazwe kudinga isinyathelo sesibili, esinzima nakakhulu: ukushintsha kwenhliziyo, noma singathi, ukushintsha kwezinhliziyo eziningi. Abantu kuyo yonke indawo kumelwe bafunde ukuzonda ukufumbathisa nokonakala. Leyo ukuphela kwendlela inzuzo embi engaphela ngayo. Ukuze kufinyelelwe lokho, umagazini i-Newsweek wathi abanye banomuzwa wokuthi ohulumeni kufanele “bakhuthaze ukuba kuvame umbono wokulunga ezweni.” I-Transparency International, iqembu elilwa nokonakala kwezisebenzi zikahulumeni, nayo itusa ukuba abasekeli bayo “bafake ‘imbewu yobuqotho’” emsebenzini.
Ukulwa nokonakala kuhilela ukuziphatha okungeke kwanqotshwa ngomthetho kuphela noma ‘ngenkemba’ yenhlawulo engokomthetho. (Roma 13:4, 5) Kudingeka kutshalwe imbewu yobuhle nobuqotho ezinhliziyweni zabantu. Lokhu kungafinyelelwa kangcono ngokusebenzisa lokho umphostoli uPawulu akuchaza ngokuthi ‘inkemba yomoya,’ iZwi likaNkulunkulu, iBhayibheli.—Efesu 6:17.
IBhayibheli Liyakulahla Ukonakala
Kungani uPawulu enqaba ukuthethelela ukonakala? Yingoba wayefuna ukwenza intando kaNkulunkulu, “ongakhethi buso bamuntu, nongamukeli mvuzo.” (Duteronomi 10:17) Ngaphezu kwalokho, akungabazeki ukuthi uPawulu wayekhumbula umyalo oqondile otholakala eMthethweni KaMose, othi: “Ungakhethi ubuso bamuntu, ungafunjathiswa isipho, ngokuba isipho siphuphuthekisa amehlo ohlakaniphileyo, siphendukezela amazwi olungileyo.” (Duteronomi 16:19) INkosi uDavide nayo yayikuqonda ukuthi uJehova uyakuzonda ukonakala, futhi yacela ukuba uNkulunkulu angayibali phakathi nezoni, ‘esokunene sazo esigcwele izipho zenkohliso.’—IHubo 26:10.
Labo abakhulekela uNkulunkulu ngobuqotho banezizathu ezengeziwe zokwenqaba ukonakala. USolomoni wabhala: “Inkosi izinzisa izwe ngobulungisa, kepha umuntu ohahela ukufunjathiswa uyalichitha.” (IzAga 29:4, New International Version) Ubulungisa—ikakhulukazi lapho buboniswa kusukela ezikhulwini zikahulumeni kuya phansi—buletha ukuzinza, kuyilapho ukonakala kwenza izwe libe mpofu. Ngokuthakazelisayo, i-Newsweek yathi: “Esimisweni lapho wonke umuntu efuna ucezwana enzuzweni yokonakala futhi azi ukuthi angaluthola kanjani, umnotho umane uwohloke.”
Ngisho noma iminotho ingawohloki ngokuphelele, abathandi bobulungisa bazizwa bekhungathekile lapho ukonakala kuchuma kunganakiwe. (IHubo 73:3, 13) UMdali wethu, owasinika isifiso esizalwa naso sobulungisa, naye uyoniwa. Endulo, uJehova wangenela ukuze aqede ukonakala okwakusobala. Ngokwesibonelo, watshela izakhamuzi zaseJerusalema ngokungagungci ukuthi kungani ayezozinikela ezitheni zazo.
Ngomprofethi wakhe uMika, uNkulunkulu wathi: “Ake nizwe lokhu nina zinhloko zendlu kaJakobe nani zikhulu zendlu yakwa-Israyeli eninengwa ngukwahlulelwa, nihlanekezela konke ukulunga, elizinhloko zalo zahlulela ngemivuzo, nelibapristi balo bafundisa ngenkokhelo, nelibaprofethi balo babhula ngemali . . . Ngalokho ngenxa yenu iSiyoni liyakulinywa njengensimu, iJerusalema libe yincithakalo.” Ukonakala kwakuchithe umphakathi wakwa-Israyeli, njengoba nje konakalisa iRoma emakhulwini eminyaka kamuva. Ngokuvumelana nesixwayiso sikaNkulunkulu, ngemva kwesikhathi esingaba ikhulu leminyaka uMika elobe lawo mazwi, iJerusalema lachithwa futhi lasala dengwane.—Mika 3:9, 11, 12.
Nokho, akukho muntu noma sizwe okudingeka sonakale. UNkulunkulu ukhuthaza ababi ukuba bashiye indlela yabo yokuphila, bashintshe nendlela yabo yokucabanga. (Isaya 55:7) Ufuna ngamunye wethu esikhundleni sokuhaha sibe abangenabugovu, futhi esikhundleni sokonakala sibe abalungile. UJehova uyasikhumbuza: “Ocindezela ompofu usola uMenzi wakhe, kepha onomusa koswelayo uyamdumisa.”—IzAga 14:31.
Ukulwa Ngokuphumelelayo Nokonakala Ngeqiniso LeBhayibheli
Yini engashukumisela umuntu ukuba enze ushintsho olunjalo? Amandla afanayo nalawo ashukumisela uPawulu ukuba alahle ukuphila kokuba umFarisi ukuze abe umlandeli kaJesu Kristu oqinile. Wabhala: “Izwi likaNkulunkulu liyaphila futhi linamandla.” (Heberu 4:12) Namuhla, iqiniso elingokomBhalo lisakuthuthukisa ukwethembeka, ngisho naphakathi kwalabo ababengene shí ekonakaleni. Cabangela lesi sibonelo.
Ngemva nje kokuphothula inkonzo yakhe kwezempi, u-Alexander waseMpumalanga Yurophu, wazihlanganisa neqembu elalingabakhohlisi abaphambayo nabafumbathisayo.a Uyachaza: “Isabelo sami kwakuwukuphamba abantu abacebile ngokufuna imali yesivikelo. Lapho usomabhizinisi esengethemba, amanye amalungu eqembu lethu ayemsongela ngobudlova. Ngangibe sengithembisa ukuyisingatha leyo nkinga—ngenani eliphakeme. ‘Amakhasimende’ ami ayengibonga ngokuwasiza ekusingatheni izinkinga zawo, kuyilapho empeleni ngiyimbangela yazo. Okumangazayo ukuthi lesi kwakuyisici somsebenzi wami engangisithanda.
“Ngangijabulela imali nenjabulo le ndlela yokuphila eyayinginika kona. Ngangihamba ngonyanyavu lwemoto, ngihlala endlini enhle futhi nginemali yokuthenga noma yini engiyifunayo. Abantu babengesaba, okwakunginika umuzwa wokuba namandla. Ngandlela-thile nganginomuzwa wokuthi akukho muntu owayengangithinta futhi umthetho wawungenakungenza lutho. Noma iziphi izinkinga ezihilela amaphoyisa zazingaxazululwa ummeli onekhono, owayenendlela yokugwema isimiso sobulungisa, noma ngokufumbathisa umuntu ofanele.
“Nokho, akukho nakancane ukwethembeka phakathi kwabantu abakuphila kwabo kuxhomeke ekonakaleni. Omunye eqenjini lethu waqala ukunganginambithisisi, futhi ngazithola ngingasathandwa. Ngokushesha, ngalahlekelwa unyanyavu lwemoto yami, imali yami nentombi yami eyayithanda izinto ezibiza kakhulu. Ngaze ngashaywa kanzima. Lolu shintsho lwangenza ngacabanga kanzulu ngenjongo yokuphila.
“Ezinyangeni ezimbalwa ngaphambili, umama wayebe ngomunye woFakazi BakaJehova, futhi ngaqala ukufunda izincwadi zabo. Umbhalo owangenza ngacabanga ngempela owezAga 4:14, 15, othi: ‘Ungangeni emkhondweni wababi, ungahambi endleleni yabonakeleyo. Yixwaye, ungadluli ngayo; chezuka kuyo, udlule.’ Amavesi anjengalawa angenza ngakholiseka ukuthi labo abafuna ukuphila ngobugebengu abanalo ikusasa langempela. Ngaqala ukuthandaza kuJehova ngimcela ukuba angiqondise endleleni efanele. Ngatadisha iBhayibheli noFakazi BakaJehova, futhi ekugcineni, nganikezela ukuphila kwami kuNkulunkulu. Ngiye ngaphila ngokwethembeka kusukela lapho.
“Yiqiniso, ukuphila ngezindinganiso zokwethembeka kuye kwasho ukuhola imali encane kakhulu. Kodwa manje ngizizwa nginekusasa, futhi ukuphila kwami kunenjongo yangempela. Ngiyaqaphela ukuthi indlela yami yokuphila yangaphambili enabo bonke ubukhazikhazi yayimane nje ifana nendlu eyakhiwe ngamakhadi okudlala engadilika noma nini. Ekuqaleni, unembeza wami wawungazweli. Manje, ngosizo lokutadisha iBhayibheli, uyathinteka njalo lapho ngilingelwa ekungathembekini—ngisho nasezintweni ezincane. Ngizama ukuphila ngokuvumelana neHubo 37:3, elithi: ‘Themba kuJehova, wenze okulungileyo; hlala ezweni, uzondle ngokukholeka.’”
“Ozonda Ukufumbathisa Uyakuphila”
Kunjengoba u-Alexander athola, iqiniso leBhayibheli lingashukumisela umuntu ukuba anqobe ukonakala. Wenza ushintsho ngokuvumelana nalokho umphostoli uPawulu akusho encwadini yakhe yabase-Efesu: “[Lahlani] ubuntu obudala obuvumelana nenkambo yenu yokuziphatha yangaphambili futhi obonakaliswayo ngokwezifiso zabo zenkohliso; . . . kufanele nenziwe basha emandleni ashukumisa ingqondo yenu, futhi nigqoke ubuntu obusha obadalwa ngokwentando kaNkulunkulu ngokulunga kweqiniso nokwethembeka. Ngakho-ke, njengoba senilahle amanga, khulumani iqiniso lowo nalowo kini kumakhelwane wakhe, ngoba singamalungu angawelinye nelinye. Owebayo makangabe eseba, kodwa kunalokho makenze umsebenzi onzima, enze lokho okuwumsebenzi omuhle ngezandla zakhe, ukuze abe nokuthile kokwabela othile oswele.” (Efesu 4:22-25, 28) Lona kanye ikusasa lesintu lixhomeke oshintshweni olunjalo.
Lapho kunganakwa, ukuhaha nokonakala kungonakalisa umhlaba, njengoba nje kwaba negalelo ekuchithweni koMbuso WaseRoma. Nokho, ngokujabulisayo uMdali wesintu akahleli ukuyeka lezi zinto ukuba zizenzakalele ngenhlanhla. Uzimisele ‘ukuchitha labo abachitha umhlaba.’ (IsAmbulo 11:18) Futhi uJehova uthembisa labo abalangazelela izwe elingenako ukonakala ukuthi maduzane nje kuzoba khona “amazulu amasha nomhlaba omusha . . . futhi kukho kuyohlala ukulunga.”—2 Petru 3:13.
Yiqiniso, kungase kungabi lula ukuphila ngezindinganiso zokulunga namuhla. Noma kunjalo, uJehova usiqinisekisa ngokuthi ngemva kwesikhathi, “ohahayo ulethela indlu yakhe izinkathazo, kepha ozonda ukufumbathisa uyakuphila.”b (IzAga 15:27, NIV) Ngokulahla ukonakala manje, sibonisa ukuthi siqotho lapho sithandaza kuNkulunkulu sithi: “Umbuso wakho mawuze. Intando yakho mayenzeke nasemhlabeni, njengasezulwini.”—Mathewu 6:10.
Njengoba silindele ukuba lowo Mbuso uthathe isinyathelo, ngamunye wethu ‘angahlwanyela ngokulunga’ ngokwenqaba ukuthethelela ukonakala noma ukwenza ukonakala. (Hoseya 10:12) Uma senza kanjalo, ukuphila kwethu nakho kuyofakazela ukuba namandla kweZwi likaNkulunkulu eliphefumulelwe. Inkemba yomoya ingakunqoba ukonakala.
