Ingabe uZakariya, uyise kaJohane uMbhapathizi, wenziwa isithulu nesimungulu, njengoba uLuka 1:62 kubonakala ekuveza?
Abanye baye baphetha ngokuthi uZakariya futhi waba yisithulu. Ekulandiseni kweBhayibheli siyafunda: “Bamqamba [umntwana] ngegama likayise uZakariya. Unina wayesephendula ethi: ‘Qhabo, uzakuthiwa uJohane.’ Bathi kuye: ‘Akakho noyedwa emndenini wakini obizwa ngalelogama.’ Bamqhweba uyise ukuthi ufuna ukumqamba ngaliphi. Wabiza isileti, waloba ukuthi: ‘NguJohane igama lakhe.’”—Luka 1:59-63.
Nokho, akukho kulokhu kulandisa okusho ngokuqondile ukuthi uZakariya wayengakwazi ukuzwa isikhathi esithile.
Ngaphambili ingelosi uGabriyeli yayimemezele kuZakariya ukuzalwa okuzayo kwendodana eyayizobizwa ngokuthi uJohane. UZakariya osekhulile wakuthola kunzima ukukukholelwa lokho. Ingelosi yasabela: “Bheka-ke, uzakuba-yisimungulu, ungakwazi ukukhuluma kuze kube-lusuku okwenzeka ngalo lokhu, ngokuba ungakholwanga ngamazwi ami azakugcwaliseka ngesikhathi sawo.” (Luka 1:13, 18-20) Ingelosi yathi ukukhuluma kukaZakariya, hhayi ukuzwa kwakhe, kwakuzothinteka.
Ukulandisa kuqhubeka kuthi: “Kuthé esephuma [ethempelini], wahluleka ukukhuluma kubo [abantu ababelindile]; bazi ukuthi ubone umbono ethempelini; wayelokhu ebaqhweba, wahlala eyisimungulu.” (Luka 1:22) Igama lesiGreki lapha elihunyushwe ngokuthi “isimungulu” lidlulisela umqondo wokuba buthuntu, ekukhulumeni, ekuzweni, noma kukho kokubili. (Luka 7:22) Kuthiwani ngoZakariya? Nokho, cabangela lokho okwenzeka lapho ephulukiswa. “Kwase kuvuleka umlomo wakhe khona-lapho nolimi lwakhe, wakhuluma embonga uNkulunkulu.” (Luka 1:64) Lokho ngokunengqondo kuholela embonweni wokuthi kwakungamandla kaZakariya okukhuluma kuphela ayephazamisekile.
Kungani-ke abanye beye babuza uZakariya ‘ngokumqhweba ukuthi ufuna ukumbiza ngaliphi [umntwana]’? Abanye abahumushi lokhu baze bakuhumushe ngokuthi “ngolimi lwezimpawu” noma “ukusebenzisa ulimi lwezimpawu.”
UZakariya, owayeyisimungulu kusukela esimemezelweni sengelosi, kaningi wayephoqelekile ukuba asebenzise ukushukuma komzimba, okuwuhlobo lolimi lwezimpawu, ukuze aveze imibono yakhe. Ngokwesibonelo, “wayelokhu ebaqhweba” labo abasethempelini. (Luka 1:21, 22) Lapho kamuva ecela isileti, kumelwe ukuba wasebenzisa izimpawu noma ukushukuma komzimba. (Luka 1:63) Ngakho, kunokwenzeka ukuthi labo ababemzungezile phakathi nesikhathi sakhe sokuba yisimungulu babethambekele ngokufanayo ekusebenziseni ukushukuma komzimba.
Nokho, kunencazelo enokwenzeka ngokwengeziwe yezimpawu okukhulunywe ngazo kuLuka 1:62. UElisabethe wayesanda kuveza umbono wakhe ngegama lendodana yakhe. Ngakho, ngaphandle kokumphikisa, babengamane bathathe isinyathelo esilandelayo nesifanelekile sokuthola isinqumo somyeni wakhe. Babengakwenza lokho ngokumane banqekuzise ikhanda noma ngophawu lokushukuma komzimba. Ngaleyondlela, ukumane banqekuzise ikhanda noma uphawu olufanayo kuye kwakungaba nencazelo yokuthi, ‘Kulungile, sonke (kuhlanganise nawe, Zakariya) siwuzwile umbono wakhe, kodwa siyini isinqumo sakho sokugcina ngegama lomntwana?’
Futhi ngokushesha ngemva kwalokho kwenzeka esinye isimangaliso, esahlehlisa isimo. “Kwase kuvuleka umlomo wakhe khona-lapho nolimi lwakhe, wakhuluma.” (Luka 1:64) Akukho kuphawula okudingeka kwenziwe ngokuzwa kwakhe uma lokho kwakungathonyekanga.
