Uhambo Lomshoshaphansi Lokuya EJerusalema
IKWINDLA ka-32 C.E., futhi uMkhosi wamaDokodo useduze. UJesu uye wagxilisa umsebenzi wakhe ikakhulukazi eGalile kusukela ngePhasika lika-31 C.E., lapho amaJuda ezama ukumbulala. Ngokunokwenzeka, kusukela ngalesosikhathi uJesu uye wavakashela eJerusalema ukuze abe semikhosini emithathu yaminyaka yonke yamaJuda.
Abafowabo bakaJesu manje bayamcela: “Muka lapha, uye eJudiya.” IJerusalema umuzi oyinhloko waseJudiya nesikhungo senkolo salo lonke izwe. Abafowabo babonisana naye: “Akukho-muntu owenza utho ekusithekeni, efuna yena uqobo lwakhe abe-sobala.”
Nakuba uJakobe, uSimoni, uJosefa, noJuda bengakukholelwa ukuthi umfowabo omdala, uJesu, ngempela unguMesiya, bafuna ukuba abonise amandla akhe okwenza izimangaliso kubo bonke ababuthene emkhosini. Nokho, uJesu uyayibona lengozi. “Izwe lingenizonde nina,” esho, “kepha mina liyangizonda, ngokuba ngifakaza ngalo ukuthi imisebenzi yalo mibi.” Ngakho-ke uJesu utshela abafowabo: “Yenyukani nina, niye emkhosini; mina angenyukeli manje kulomkhosi.”
UMkhosi wamaDokodo uwumkhosi ogujwa izinsuku eziyisikhombisa. Ngosuku lwesishiyagalombili uphethwa ngemisebenzi engcwele. Lomkhosi ubonisa ukuthi unyaka wokulima usuphelile futhi uyisikhathi sokujabula okukhulu nokubonga. Ezinsukwini ezimbalwa ngemva kokuba abafowabo bakaJesu behambile ukuze babe khona kanye nendikimba eyinhloko yezihambi, yena nabafundi bakhe bahamba ngomshoshaphansi, bengafuni ukuba abantu bababone. Bathatha indlela edlula eSamariya, kunaleyo ethathwa abantu abaningi eseduze koMfula iJordani.
Njengoba uJesu nahamba nabo bezodinga izindawo zokulala emzini waseSamariya, uthuma izithunywa phambi kwakhe ukuba zenze amalungiselelo. Nokho, abantu bayenqaba ukwenzela uJesu noma yini ngemva kokuzwa ukuthi ulibangise eJerusalema. Ngokuthukuthela, uJakobe noJohane bayabuza: “Nkosi, uyathanda ukuba sibize umlilo wehle ezulwini, u[ba]qede, na?” UJesu uyabakhuza ngokusikisela into enjalo, futhi baya komunye umuzi.
Njengoba behamba endleleni, umbhali othile uthi kuJesu: “Mfundisi, ngizakukulandela, noma uya ngaphi.”
“Izimpungushe zinemigodi, nezinyoni zezulu zinezidleke,” kuphendula uJesu, “kepha iNdodana yomuntu kayinandawo, lapho ingacamelisa khona ikhanda.” UJesu uchaza ukuthi lombhali uyohlangabezana nobunzima uma eba umlandeli waKhe. Futhi ukusikisela kubonakala kuwukuthi lombhali uzazisa kakhulu ukuba angemukela lendlela yokuphila.
Kwenye indoda, uJesu uthi: “Ngilandele.”
“Ngivumele ngiye kuqala ukuyakummbela ubaba,” kuphendula lendoda.
“Yeka abafileyo bembele abafileyo babo,” kuphendula uJesu, “kodwa hamba wena, ushumayele umbuso kaNkulunkulu.” Ngokusobala ubaba walendoda wayengakafi, ngoba ukuba wayefile, kwakungenakwenzeka ngendodana yakhe ukuba ibe lapha ilalele uJesu. Ngokusobala lendodana icela isikhathi sokulindela ukufa kukayise. Ayizimisele ukubeka uMbuso kaNkulunkulu kuqala ekuphileni kwayo.
Njengoba bedlula endleleni eqonde eJerusalema, enye indoda itshela uJesu: “Ngizakukulandela, Nkosi; kepha ngivumele ngiye kuqala ukuyovalelisa abasekhaya.”
Eyiphendula uJesu uthi: “Akakho othi esebeké isandla sakhe egejeni, abuke emuva, ofanele umbuso kaNkulunkulu.” Labo abayoba abafundi bakaJesu kumelwe bagxilise amehlo abo enkonzweni yoMbuso. Njengoba nje nomsele ngokunokwenzeka uyoba mazombe uma umlimi engaqhubeki ebheke phambili, ngakho noma ubani obheka emuva kulesimiso sezinto esidala angase akhubeke endleleni eya ekuphileni.
