Ekugcineni, u-Abela waba umalusi futhi uKayini waqala ukulima. Yona iyakuchoboza ikhanda lakho, wena uyakulimaza isithende sayo.” (Genesise 3:15) Kumelwe ukuba u-Abela wayezibuza, ‘Siyofezeka kanjani isithembiso sikaNkulunkulu esiphathelene nembewu eyochoboza inyoka, futhi le mbewu iyolinyazwa kanjani esithendeni?’
Ngemva kwesikhathi esithile, cishe sebengabantu abadala impela, uKayini no-Abela benza iminikelo kuJehova. Njengoba u-Abela ayengumalusi, akumangalisi ukuthi wanikela ‘ngamazibulo ezimvu zakhe ezinonileyo.’ Ngokuhlukile, uKayini wanikela ‘ngezithelo zomhlabathi.’ UJehova wawamukela umhlatshelo ka-Abela, kodwa “uKayini nomnikelo wakhe akawunakanga.” (Genesise 4:3-5) Ngani?
Abanye bathi kungenxa yokuthi umhlatshelo ka-Abela wawenziwe ‘ngamazibulo ezimvu zakhe,’ kanti okaKayini wawumane ‘uyizithelo zomhlabathi.’ Kodwa inkinga yayingelona izinga lesivuno uKayini anikela ngaso, ngoba ukulandisa kuthi uJehova wenamela “u-Abela nomnikelo wakhe,” kodwa akamenamelanga “uKayini nomnikelo wakhe.” Ngakho uJehova wabheka ngokuyinhloko isimo senhliziyo somkhulekeli. Kulokhu, kumelwe kuphawulwe ukuthi umnikelo ka-Abela wawuhilela ukuchitha igazi. Kungenzeka wafinyelela isiphetho esiyiso sokuthi isithembiso sikaNkulunkulu mayelana nembewu eyayiyolinyazwa esithendeni sasiyohilela ukunikela ngokuphila. Kanjalo umnikelo ka-Abela wawuyobe uwukunxusa ukuhlawulelwa, futhi wawubonisa ukholo lokuthi uNkulunkulu wayeyolungiselela umhlatshelo ohlawulela izono ngesikhathi esifanele.
Ngokuhlukile, cishe uKayini wayengacabanganga kangako ngomnikelo ayewenza. “Owakhe umnikelo wawumane uwukuvuma ukuthi uNkulunkulu ungumsizi,” kusikisela umhlaziyi weBhayibheli wekhulu le-19. “Wawukuveza ngokucacile ukuthi wayengaboni cala elingokoqobo phakathi kwakhe noMdali wakhe, engaboni nasidingo sokuvuma isono noma ukuthembela ekuhlawulelweni.”
Ngaphezu kwalokho, njengezibulo, kungenzeka ukuthi ngokugabadela uKayini wayecabanga ukuthi nguye owayeyinzalo ethenjisiwe eyayiyobhubhisa iNyoka, uSathane. Kungenzeka ukuthi no-Eva wayenezifiso ezinkulu ezinjalo ngendodana yakhe eyizibulo. (Genesise 4:1) Yebo, uma kuyilokhu uKayini no-Eva ababekulindele, babesephutheni kakhulu.
IBhayibheli alisho ukuthi uJehova wakubonisa kanjani ukuthi uyawamukela umhlatshelo ka-Abela. Abanye basikisela ukuthi washiswa umlilo ovela ezulwini. Kungakhathaliseki ukuthi kwenzekani, lapho eqaphela ukuthi umnikelo wakhe wawungamukelekanga, ‘wathukuthela kakhulu uKayini, ubuso bakhe banyukumala.’ (Genesise 4:5) UKayini wayephokophele enhlekeleleni.
Iseluleko SikaJehova Nempendulo KaKayini
UJehova wabonisana noKayini. Wabuza: “Uthukuthelelani na? Ubuso bakho bunyukumeleleni na?” Lokhu kwanika uKayini ithuba elanele lokuhlola imizwa nezisusa zakhe. UJehova waqhubeka: “Angithi uma wenza kahle, uyamukeleka na? Uma ungenzi kahle, isono sihlezi ngasemnyango; ukunxanela kwaso kukuwe, kepha wena umelwe ukusibusa.”—Genesise 4:6, 7. UKayini akalalelanga. Kunalokho, waholela u-Abela ngaphandle eqeleni wafike wambulala. Kamuva, lapho uJehova ebuza ukuthi wayekuphi u-Abela, uKayini wenza isono sakhe saba sibi nakakhulu ngokuqamba amanga. Waphendula: “Angazi; ngingumlindi womfowethu na?”—Genesise 4:8, 9.
Kokubili ngaphambili nangemuva kokubulala u-Abela, uKayini wenqaba ‘ukwenza kahle.’ Wakhetha ukuvumela isono simnqobe, futhi ngenxa yalokhu, uKayini waxoshwa endaweni umkhaya wesintu owawuhlala kuyo. Ukulandisa kweBhayibheli ngoKayini no-Abela akugcinelwanga nje ukufunda kokuchitha isizungu. Kunalokho, ‘kwalotshelwa ukuba kufundiswe thina’ futhi ‘kunenzuzo yokufundisa, neyokusola.’ (Roma 15:4; 2 Thimothewu 3:16) Singafundani kulokhu kulandisa?
Isifundo Esisitholayo
NjengoKayini no-Abela, amaKristu namuhla amenywa ukuba anikele kuNkulunkulu umhlatshelo—hhayi umnikelo wokushiswa ongokoqobo, kodwa “umhlatshelo wokudumisa, okuwukuthi, isithelo sezindebe ezivuma obala igama lakhe.” (Heberu 13:15) Njengamanje lokhu kwenziwa emhlabeni wonke, njengoba oFakazi BakaJehova beshumayela izindaba ezinhle zoMbuso kaNkulunkulu emazweni angaphezu kuka-230. (Mathewu 24:14) Ingabe unengxenye kulowo msebenzi? Khona-ke ungaqiniseka ukuthi ‘uNkulunkulu akayena ongalungile ukuba akhohlwe umsebenzi wakho nothando owalubonisa kulo igama lakhe.’—Heberu 6:10.
Njengasemhlatshelweni kaKayini no-Abela, umhlatshelo wakho awahlulelwa ngokubonakala kwawo kwangaphandle—ngokwesibonelo, ngenani lamahora nje owasebenzise enkonzweni. UJehova ubheka ekujuleni. UJeremiya 17:10 uthi ‘uvivinya inhliziyo’ aze ‘ahlole nezinso’—imicabango, imizwa nezisusa ezisekujuleni kobuntu bomuntu. Ngakho okusemqoka yisisusa, hhayi inani. Ngempela, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi mkhulu noma mncane, umhlatshelo uba yigugu kuNkulunkulu uma wenziwa ngenhliziyo eshukunyiswa uthando.—Qhathanisa uMarku 12:41 -no– 14:3-9.
Ngesikhathi esifanayo, kumelwe siqaphele ukuthi uJehova ngeke amukele imihlatshelo ekhubazekile, njengoba nje engawamukelanga umnikelo kaKayini owawungenziwanga ngenhliziyo yonke. (Malaki 1:8, 13) UJehova ufuna umnike okungcono kakhulu kwakho, umkhonze ngenhliziyo yakho, umphefumulo, ingqondo nangamandla akho onke. (Marku 12:30) Ingabe wenza kanjalo? Khona-ke unesizathu esihle sokubheka umhlatshelo wakho ngokwaneliseka. UPawulu wabhala: “Yilowo nalowo makahlole umsebenzi wakhe siqu, khona-ke uyoba nesizathu sokwethaba ngokuqondene naye yedwa, hhayi ngokuziqhathanisa nomunye umuntu.”—Galathiya 6:4.
UKayini no-Abela babekhuliswe ngendlela efanayo. Kodwa isikhathi nezimo kwanika ngamunye wabo ithuba lokuba abe nezici zakhe siqu. Isimo sengqondo sikaKayini sonakaliswa kancane kancane umhawu, ukubanga nesifuthefuthe sentukuthelo.
Ngokuhlukile, u-Abela wakhunjulwa uNkulunkulu njengendoda elungile. (Mathewu 23:35) Ukuzimisela kwakhe ukujabulisa uNkulunkulu kungakhathaliseki okuhilelekile kwenza u-Abela wahluka ngendlela eqabulayo kubantu abangenakwazisa bomkhaya wakubo—u-Adamu, u-Eva noKayini. IBhayibheli lisitshela ukuthi nakuba u-Abela afa, “usakhuluma.” Inkonzo yakhe yokwethembeka kuNkulunkulu iyingxenye yomlando oyohlala njalo oqukethwe yiBhayibheli. Kwangathi singalandela isibonelo sika-Abela ngokunikela ngokuqhubekayo imihlatshelo eyamukelekayo kuNkulunkulu.—Heberu 11:4.

“UTHUKUTHELELANI NA? Ubuso bakho bunyukumeleleni na?” Ngalo mbuzo, uJehova wabonisana ngomusa noKayini. Akazange amphoqe uKayini ukuba ashintshe, ngoba uKayini wayeyisidalwa esinenkululeko yokuzikhethela. (Qhathanisa noDuteronomi 30:19.)
