Isho Ukuthini IMiyalo Eyishumi Kuwe?
PHAKATHI nezinyanga ezintathu zokukhululwa kwawo eGibithe ngo-1513 B.C.E., amaIsrayeli akanisa ehlane phambi kweNtaba yaseSinayi. Ebizwe nguJehova, umprofethi uMose wanyukela entabeni futhi wezwa uNkulunkulu ethembisa ukuthi wayeyokwenza isizwe sakwaIsrayeli sibe ‘igugu kuYe kunazo zonke izizwe.’ Khona-ke uMose wakudlulisela lokhu kubantu ngamalunga esizwe. “Bonke abantu baphendula kanye-kanye, bathi: Konke akukhulumileyo uJehova siyakukwenza.”—Eksodusi 19:1-8.
Kamuva, uNkulunkulu wayisho ngokucacile iMiyalo Eyishumi kuMose, eqalisa lemithetho ngalamazwi: “NginguJehova uNkulunkulu wakho owakukhipha ezweni laseGibithe, indlu yobugqila.” (Eksodusi 20:2) LeMiyalo Eyishumi kwakungeyamaIsrayeli, ayetsheliwe eMyalweni Wokuqala ukuthi: “Ungabi-nabanye onkulunkulu ngaphandle kwami.”—Eksodusi 20:3.
Kamuva, uJehova wanikeza uMose isiqondiso ngeminye imiyalo yaphezulu ayeyenzela uIsrayeli. (Eksodusi 20:4–23:19) Isiyonke, lena yakha ingqikithi yemithetho engama-600. Futhi yeka indlela okwakuvusa amadlingozi ngayo ukuqaphela ukuthi ingelosi kaNkulunkulu yayihola lesizwe ukuze isilungisele indlela yokungena eZweni Lesithembiso! (Eksodusi 23:20-22) UJehova wathi: “Bheka, ngiyenza isivumelwano; phambi kwabantu bonke bakho ngiyakuzenza izimangaliso ezingazange zenziwe emhlabeni wonke nakusiphi isizwe; bonke abantu okhona phakathi kwabo bayakuwubona umsebenzi kaJehova, ngokuba kuyesabeka lokhu engikwenza kuwe.” Ngokomphumela, yini uNkulunkulu ayeyidinga kubantu bakhe? “Qaphela lokhu engikuyala ngakho namuhla.” Yebo, ukugcina yonke imithetho nemiyalo kaJehova kwakuyisibopho.—Eksodusi 34:10, 11.
Lokho Okwakushiwo IMiyalo Eyishumi KuIsrayeli
Ngenxa yokuphuma kwawo ebugqilini baseGibithe okwakuvikelwe ngokwaphezulu, amaIsrayeli alazi igama likaNkulunkulu ngomqondo omusha. UJehova wayebe uMkhululi wawo. (Eksodusi 6:2, 3) Ngenxa yalokho, umyalo wesithathu wawunokubaluleka okukhethekile ngawo, njengoba ayengavunyelwe ukuliphatha ngeze igama laphezulu.—Eksodusi 20:7.
Kodwa kuthiwani ngomyalo wesine, obhekisela osukwini lweSabatha? Lomyalo waqokomisa inhlonipho ngezinto ezingcwele, njengoba uJehova ayebonisile ngaphambili lapho emisa “usuku lokuphumula” ngokuphathelene nokubuthwa kwemana. (Eksodusi 16:22-26) Ngenxa yokuthi amanye amaIsrayeli awazange alalele ngokushesha, uJehova wawakhumbuza ngokuqondile ukuthi wayewanikeze lowomthetho. “Bhekani, njengalokho uJehova eniphile isabatha. . . . Base bephumula-ke abantu ngosuku lwesikhombisa.” (Eksodusi 16:29, 30) Kamuva, uJehova wabonisa indlela lelilungiselelo elalihlukanisa ngayo, ethi: “Liluphawu phakathi kwami nabantwana bakwaIsrayeli kuze kube-phakade.”—Eksodusi 31:17.
Khona-ke, cabangela umyalo weshumi ovelele, owenqabela ukuhaha. Lona umthetho okwakungekho-muntu owayengawuphoqelela. UmIsrayeli ngamunye wayeyozilandisela kuNkulunkulu wakhe, uJehova, ohlola inhliziyo yomuntu ngamunye ukuze athole izisusa zakhe.—Eksodusi 20:17; 1 Samuweli 16:7; Jeremiya 17:10.
Umbono Olungisiwe
UJesu Kristu, owazalwa esizweni sakwaIsrayeli, watshela abafundi bakhe: “Ningathi ngizé ukuchitha umthetho nabaprofethi; angizanga ukuchitha, ngizé ukugcwalisa.” (Mathewu 5:17) Umphostoli uPawulu wabhalela amaKristu angamaHeberu: “Umthetho unesithunzi sezinto ezinhle ezizayo, ungesiwo umfanekiso wazo uqobo.” (Heberu 10:1) Uma wawungumHeberu oguqukele ebuKristwini, wawuyowaqonda kanjani lamazwi? Amanye amalungu ebandla lamaKristu okuqala akholelwa ukuthi wonke amakhulu emithetho uNkulunkulu ayinikeza ngoMose, kuhlanganise neMiyalo Eyishumi, ayesasebenza. Kodwa ingabe lokho kwakuwumbono oqondile?
Cabangela lamazwi kaPawulu kumaJuda ayebe amaKristu esifundeni saseGalathiya: “Thina singabaJuda ngemvelo, singesizo izoni zabezizwe; kepha lokhu sazi ukuthi umuntu akalungisiswa ngemisebenzi yomthetho, kuphela ngokukholwa nguKristu Jesu, nathi sakholwa nguKristu Jesu ukuba silungisiswe ngokukholwa nguKristu kungengemisebenzi yomthetho; ngokuba ngemisebenzi yomthetho akuyikulungisiswa-nyama.” (Galathiya 2:15, 16) Ngempela, ukuma okuhle noNkulunkulu akuzange kuxhomeke ekugcineni uMthetho kaMose ngokuphelele, ngenxa yokuthi esimweni somuntu ongaphelele, lokho kwakungenakwenzeka. UPawulu wenezela: “Bonke abemisebenzi yomthetho baphansi kwesiqalekiso, ngokuba kulotshiwe ukuthi: Baqalekisiwe bonke abangemi njalo kukho konke okulotshiweyo encwadini yomthetho ukuba bakwenze. . . . UKristu wasihlenga esiqalekisweni somthetho, ebenziwe isiqalekiso ngenxa yethu.”—Galathiya 3:10-13.
Uma abalandeli bakaJesu abangamaJuda babengasekho ngaphansi kwesiqalekiso soMthetho, ingabe noma yimaphi amaKristu ayenesibopho sokugcina yonke imithetho eyayinikezwe uIsrayeli? KwabaseKolose, uPawulu wabhala: “[UNkulunkulu] esithethelela zonke izono zethu; esehlangulé incwadi yecala lethu, emelana nathi ngemiyalo yayo, wayeyisusa ngokuyibethela [esigxotsheni sokuhlushwa, NW] [sikaKristu.]” (Kolose 2:13, 14) Ngokungangabazeki, amaKristu amaningi akuqala ayedinga ukulungisa ukucabanga kwawo futhi aqaphele ukuthi ‘ayekhululiwe eMthethweni.’ (Roma 7:6) Ngokuba nokholo ekufeni kukaJesu komhlatshelo, okwaphelisa uMthetho, futhi kwavula indlela yokumiswa ‘kwesivumelwano esisha’ esasibikezelwe, ayenethemba lokuzuza ukuma okuhle noJehova.—Jeremiya 31:31-34; Roma 10:4.
Lokho Ekushoyo Ngathi
Ingabe lokhu kusho ukuthi iMiyalo Eyishumi, ingxenye eyinhloko yoMthetho, ayisasho lutho ngokuphelele kumaKristu? Akunjalo neze! Nakuba iMiyalo Eyishumi ingawabophi amaKristu ngokomthetho, lemithetho iyaqhubeka inikeza iziqondiso ezinengqondo, njengoba kwenza neminye imiyalo yoMthetho kaMose. Ngokwesibonelo, uJesu wathi imiyalo emibili emikhulu kakhulu eyokuthanda uNkulunkulu nomakhelwane. (Levitikusi 19:18; Duteronomi 6:5; Mathewu 22:37-40) Lapho eluleka amaKristu angamaRoma, uPawulu wakhomba emyalweni wesithupha, wesikhombisa, wesishiyagalombili, noweshumi, enezela: “Noma ukhona omunye umyalelo, kuyahlanganiswa kulelizwi elithi: Wothanda umakhelwane wakho njengalokhu uzithanda wena.”—Roma 13:8, 9.
Khona-ke, njengengxenye yeZwi likaNkulunkulu eliphefumlelwe, ifeza yiphi ingxenye iMiyalo Eyishumi namuhla? Yembula umbono kaJehova ngezindaba. (2 Thimothewu 3:16, 17) Cabangela indlela ekwenza ngayo lokhu.
Imiyalo yokuqala emine iqokomisa umthwalo wethu wemfanelo ngakuJehova. (OwokuQala) UnguNkulunkulu osakufuna ukuzinikela okuphelele. (Mathewu 4:10) (OwesiBili) Akukho namunye wabakhulekeli bakhe okufanele asebenzise izithombe. (1 Johane 5:21) (OwesiThathu) Ukusebenzisa kwethu igama likaNkulunkulu kufanele kube okufanelekile nokunesizotha, hhayi okokungabonisi inhlonipho. (Johane 17:26; Roma 10:13) (OwesiNe) Ukuphila kwethu konke kufanele kugxile ezindabeni ezingcwele. Lokhu kusenza sikwazi ukuphumula, noma ‘ukuthatha isabatha,’ enkambweni yokuzenza abalungile.—Heberu 4:9, 10.
(OwesiHlanu) Ukulalela kwabantwana abazali babo kuyaqhubeka kusebenza njengesisekelo sobunye bomkhaya, kuhambisana nezibusiso zikaJehova. Futhi yeka ithemba elimangalisayo elilethwa ‘yilomyalo wokuqala onesithembiso’! Akukhona nje kuphela “ukuze kube-kuhle kuwe” kodwa futhi ukuze “uhlale kade emhlabeni.” (Efesu 6:1-3) Njengoba siphila “ezinsukwini zokugcina” zalesimiso sezinto esibi samanje, ukulalela okunjalo kokwesaba uNkulunkulu kunikeza abantu abasha ithemba lokungafi.—2 Thimothewu 3:1; Johane 11:26.
Uthando ngomakhelwane wethu luyosivimbela ukubeni simlimaze ngezenzo ezimbi ezinjengokubulala (owesiThupha), ukuphinga (owesiKhombisa), ukweba (owesiShiyagalombili), nokuqamba amanga (owesiShiyagalolunye). (1 Johane 3:10-12; Heberu 13:4; Efesu 4:28; Mathewu 5:37; IzAga 6:16-19) Kodwa kuthiwani ngezizusa zethu? Umyalo (weShumi), omelene nokuhaha, usikhumbuza ukuthi uJehova ufuna ukuba ngaso sonke isikhathi izifiso zethu zibe ezilungile emehlweni akhe.—IzAga 21:2.
Yeka incazelo ecebile esiyithola eMiyalweni Eyishumi! Njengoba isekelwe ezimisweni zaphezulu ezingasoze zaphelelwa isikhathi, kumelwe siyazise njengezikhumbuzo eziyigugu zesibopho sethu sokuthanda uNkulunkulu nomakhelwane wethu.—Mathewu 22:37-39.
