Ukuguqula Isimo Somuntu Esingokwemvelo
“ABANTU abaphili ngokulwa nobubi kuphela,” kusho isazi sefilosofi uSir Isaiah Berlin. “Baphila ngemigomo eqinisekile, engayodwa nehlanganiswe ndawonye.” Kodwa bangaki abangathola ‘leyomigomo eqinisekile’? Ngokuvame kakhulu isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo sidonseleka ngakulokho okuphambene kanye nokubhubhisayo.
Ngokwesibonelo, eBrithani muva nje amacala obudlova adlula emaphesentini angu-11. “Umsebenzi wethu,” kusho undunankulu waseBrithani, “uwukuzama ukuthola izindlela zokubuvimba ukuze impucuko enkulu ikwazi ukuqhubekela phambili.” Kodwa ingabe imithetho nokucindezela okungokwezombangazwe, nakuba kunezinhloso ezinhle, kungakushintsha ngempela ukuthambekela kwabantu ekwenzeni lokho okungalungile? Ngokwesibonelo, umphostoli uPawulu wabhalela amaKristu ayekanye nawo eGalathiya ‘ngezenzo zokuziphatha okubi, zokungcola, nezamanyala . . . Abantu baba izitha futhi bayalwa; baba nomona, nentukuthelo, futhi . . . banomhawu, bayadakwa, banokuxokozela, futhi benza ezinye izinto ezifana nalezi.’ NgokweToday’s English Version, ecashunwe lapha, yonke lemikhuba ehlazisayo ‘iyilokho isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo esikwenzayo.’—Galathiya 5:19-21.

Isimo Somuntu Esingokwemvelo Siyaguqulwa!
Nokho, kuyinto engenzeka ukunqoba eziningi zezici ezimbi kakhulu zesimo somuntu esingokwemvelo. Empeleni, iBhayibheli lithi singasiguqula isimo sethu esingokwemvelo ngomqondo wokuguqula ubuntu bethu. Kanjani? Ngosizo lomoya ongcwele kaNkulunkulu.—Roma 8:9.
UPawulu, encwadini yakhe eya kumaKristu ayekanye nawo eKolose, wakubeka ngalendlela: ‘Nikhumule ubuntu obudala kanye nezenzo zabo, nembathe obusha, obenziwa-busha bube-nokwazi ngokomfanekiso walowo owabudalayo.’ Phakathi kwemikhuba yobuntu obudala, ubala ezinye zezici ezishukumisela abantu ukuba badonseleke ngakulokho okubhubhisayo: inkanuko elimazayo, ulaka, intukuthelo, nobubi.—Kolose 3:5-10.
Ngokufanayo ebhalela amaKristu e-Efesu, uPawulu uphinda akhulume ngesidingo ‘sobuntu obusha,’ athi ngakho kubo ‘kwadalwa ngokukaNkulunkulu ekulungeni nasebungcweleni beqiniso.’ Uqhuba ingxoxo yakhe ngokuba athi: “Konke okubabayo, nentukuthelo, nolaka, nomsindo, nokuhlambalaza, makususwe kini kanye nakho konke okubi. Maniphathane ngobumnene, nihawukelane.”—Efesu 4:24, 31, 32.
Ingabe amazwi kaPawulu ayengokoqobo? Ingabe ngempela ubuntu bungaguqulwa? Nokho, ubufakazi buwukuthi lawomaKristu okuqala azenza izinguquko ezinkulu ekuphileni kwawo. Njengeqembu labantu, ama ehlukile ezweni elaliwazungezile. UJustin Martyr, isazi-mlando ezikhathini zakuqala zobuKristu, wabhala: “Thina esazondana futhi sabhubhisana sodwa, futhi, ngenxa yokungafani kwemikhuba, senqaba ukuphila nabantu besizwe esihlukile, manje, selokhu kuvele uKristu, sihlalisana sidlelana ngokuseduze nabo, futhi sithandazela izitha zethu, futhi sizama ukushukumisela labo abasizondayo ngaphandle kwesizathu ukuba baphile ngokuvumelana nemiyalo ephelele kaKristu.”
Kuthiwani namuhla? Ingabe kuseyinto engenzeka ukwenza izinguquko ezinkulu ezinjalo esimweni somuntu esingokwemvelo? Yebo! Izibonelo ezingamashumi ezinkulungwane zibonisa ukuthi izinguquko ezimangalisayo zisenzeka. Lokhu okulandelayo kumane nje kungesinye sazo.
UStephen wakhuliselwa kwenye yezindawo zezimboni zaseNgilandi. Uyise wayengakholelwa ebukhoneni bukaNkulunkulu. Lapho eneminyaka engu-12, uStephen wagwetshwa iminyaka emithathu esikoleni samahlongandlebe. Wayevume amacala angu-64 okugqekeza! Ngokushesha akabanga esahlonipha nanoma yiliphi igunya, futhi njengoba ayekhula, amacala akhe aba mabi kakhulu. Ahlanganisa inkohliso, ukudakwa, inkambo yokuphazamisa ukuthula, nokuhlasela amaphoyisa, okuyicala lokugcina uStephen aboshelwa lona. Isimo sakhe esingokwemvelo saba nobudlova kakhulu. “Alikho icala umuntu ongenankulunkulu angeke alenze uma izidingo zakhe zizinkulu ngokwanele,” esho.
Yini eyayingashintsha isigebengu esingumakadebona njengaleso? Ekugcineni uStephen wamukela usizo oluvela kumfowabo owayebe omunye woFakazi BakaJehova. Ngemva kokutadisha iBhayibheli isikhathi esifushane, uStephen waqala ukwembatha “ubuntu obusha.” Izinguquko azenza zazimangalisa ngempela. Manje, eminyakeni emihlanu kamuva, usemshadweni ojabulisayo futhi uyilungu elithembekile lebandla loFakazi BakaJehova, akhonza kulo njengenceku ekhonzayo.
Ngakho isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo singaguqulwa ezindabeni zabantu ngabanye. Kodwa ingabe ubuthakathaka bomuntu buwukuphela kwesizathu ‘sokuwohlozwa kwempucuko’ namuhla?
“UDeveli WasemBhalweni”
Umphostoli uPawulu wabhala isiprofetho esiphawulekayo ngokuphathelene ‘nalezinsuku zokugcina.’ Amazwi akhe avezwe ebhokisini elingenhla. Phawula ukuthi ukwenyuka kobudlova nobubi kuletha “izikhathi ezinzima.” Ingabe yisimo somuntu esingokwemvelo sodwa esibangela konke lokhu?—2 Thimothewu 3:1.
Cha, kukhona okunye futhi, amandla aholela ebubini asebenzisa ubuthakathaka bomuntu. Njengoba nje abantu bekuthola kunzima ukukholelwa ukuthi umuntu uye wazuza isono njengefa, ngokufanayo bakuthola kunzima ukwamukela ukuthi kunamandla angaphezu komuntu afuna ukumsebenzisa kabi. Kodwa iBhayibheli lithi amandla anjalo akhona: USathane uDeveli.
Igama elithi “Develi” (elisho, “umnyundeli”) livela izikhathi ezingu-33 eBhayibhelini, futhi elithi “Sathane” (elisho, “umphikisi”) livela izikhathi ezingu-52. Eziningi zalezikhombo ziphathelene nomuntu omubi oyedwa womoya. Nokho, abanye bayakuphika ukuba khona kukaSathane ongumuntu ongokoqobo, bekhetha ukuthi: “Isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo nokuthambekela kwaso esonweni singudeveli wasemBhalweni.”b Nokho, ngokuthakazelisayo endabeni yenceku ethembekile kaJehova uJobe, umbhalo wesiHeberu usebenzisa inkulumo ethi has·Sa·tanʹ, uSathane, futhi kuLuka 4:2 (NW), sifunda ukuthi kwakunguDeveli (ngesiGreki, ho di·aʹbo·los) owalinga uJesu. (Jobe 1:6) Kuzo zombili lezindawo, umuntu othile ubonisiwe ngokohlelo lolimi. Isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo asingeni ndawo.
Umphostoli uPawulu unezela ekuqondeni kwethu kokuthi uSathane unamandla kangakanani lapho, ebhalela abase-Efesu, ekhuluma ‘ngababusi bezwe balobubumnyama, . . . omoya bobubi emkhathini.’ (Efesu 6:12) Kanye noSathane uDeveli, ‘labobabusi bezwe’ bangamademoni, izidalwa ezimbi zomoya ezingabonakali. ‘Badukisa izwe lonke,’ besebenzisa kabi isimo somuntu esonakele ngezinga elikhulu kakhulu kangangokunokwenzeka. (IsAmbulo 12:9) Kungenxa yalesizathu uPawulu enxusa ngokuqinile umKristu ngamunye ukuba ‘amelane namaqhinga kaSathane.’ Uyimbangela enkulu yokuwohloka kwesintu esikubona kusizungezile.—Efesu 6:11.
Ukubuyiselwa
UPetru, owayekanye noPawulu, usiqinisekisa ukuthi uSathane kanye namademoni akhe ngeke babe khona phakade ukuba bahlasele isintu. Uthi: “Siyalindela ngesithembiso sakhe amazulu amasha nomhlaba omusha okukhona kuwo ukulunga.” (2 Petru 3:13) Ngempela, ngokushesha manje, ububi ngazo zonke izindlela okuziveza ngazo ngeke kusaba yingxenye yendawo yabantu. USathane namademoni akhe bazobhujiswa. (Roma 16:20; IsAmbulo 20:1-3) Khona-ke, ngempela, isimo somuntu esingokwemvelo siyobonisa “inkazimulo kaNkulunkulu,” nokuphila okuphakade kuyithemba eliqinisekile ngomkhaya wesintu.—Roma 3:23.
“Njalo ngiye ngathi futhi ngisazoqhubeka ngithi,” kugcizelela umongameli waseMelika uThomas Jefferson, “ukutadisha ngenkuthalo uMqulu Ongcwele kuyokwenza izakhamuzi ezingcono . . . IBhayibheli lenza abantu abangcono kakhulu emhlabeni.” Njengoba sesibonile, isimo sethu esingokwemvelo singaguqulwa uma sinikeza isigijimi esinamandla seBhayibheli ithuba lokuba sithonye ukuphila kwethu. (Roma 12:2) Singakhetha ukuba sifinyelele ekwamukeleni lokho okuhle nokokwesaba uNkulunkulu. Futhi ukuze siqiniswe emzamweni wethu wokuba sithuthuke, singakhetha ukuhlangana nalabo abafuna ngobuqotho ukwenza okufanayo.
