20 Njengoba eye wakhuthaza amakholwa ayekanye nawo ukuba amelane nokuhlubuka futhi anamathele eqinisweni, uJohane uphetha incwadi yakhe yesibili ephefumlelwe ngalamazwi:
“Nginokuningi kokunilobela, angithandanga ukuloba ngephepha noyinki, kodwa ngiyethemba ukuza kini, ngikhulume nani umlomo nomlomo [ubuso nobuso, NW] ukuze ukuthokoza kwethu kuphelele. Abantwana bakadadewenu okhethiweyo bayakhonza kuwe.” (2 Johane 12, 13)
