25 If a man should sin against a man,+ God will arbitrate for him;+ but if it is against Jehovah that a man should sin,+ who is there to pray for him?”+ But they would not listen to the voice of their father,+ because Jehovah was now pleased to put them to death.+

16 But they were continually making jest+ at the messengers of the [true] God and despising his words+ and mocking+ at his prophets, until the rage+ of Jehovah came up against his people, until there was no healing.+

3 “From the thirteenth year of Jo·siʹah+ the son of Aʹmon, the king of Judah, and down to this day, these twenty-three years the word of Jehovah has occurred to me, and I kept speaking to YOU people, rising up early and speaking, but YOU did not listen.+
