6 Consequently the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something to be longed for to the eyes, yes, the tree was desirable to look upon.*+ So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. Afterward she gave some also to her husband* when with her and he began eating it.+
4 They now said: “Come on! Let us build ourselves a city and also a tower* with its top in the heavens,+ and let us make a celebrated name* for ourselves,+ for fear we may be scattered over all the surface of the earth.”+
13 ‘because there are two bad things that my people have done: They have left even me,+ the source of living water,+ in order to hew out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that cannot contain the water.’
