32 And Jer·o·boʹam went on to make a festival in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, like the festival that was in Judah,+ that he might make offerings upon the altar that he had made in Bethʹel, to sacrifice to the calves that he had made; and he put in attendance at Bethʹel+ the priests of the high places that he had made.

8 And the high places of [Beth-]aʹven,+ the sin of Israel,+ will actually be annihilated. Thorns and thistles+ themselves will come up upon their altars.+ And people will in fact say to the mountains, ‘Cover us!’ and to the hills, ‘Fall over us!’+
